  5. I went to Lost Trails on Monday and it was excellent....narley trails. dusty and plenty of water for your floaters....Check in was fast and the people running the trails were excellent...i'm rating Lost Traisl a 10!! If you want to trail ride you have to try Lost Trails.$35.00 entry fee and 15.00 for a safety Flag unless you have one....Muddie49
  6. I have to 4 strokes 2010 and 2009 and they both have a little knock when idling..from what i hear and what i've experienced...this is pretty normal for 4 strokes....but if your worried you can always take it back and have it checked....Muddie49
  7. Well....the pump is good....the quad is running , the problem was the quads been sitting so long,i had to prime the fuel system, its running....but the carb needs to be cleaned up....i'm going take the carb off and clean it out jets, pilots etc....replace what needs....otherwise my buddy's pretty happy so far...thanks for all your responces and i'm sure, i'll have more questions as this project goes on..Muddie49
  8. Yes i did...the oil filter is in front of the rear wheel on the right side...oil 3.7 quarts is in the rear.....fill plugs rear of trans, plugs below transer case.....Front caseing takes 80w90 GLF-5 fluid.....I hav'nt found the fuel filter and not even sure if theres ones...i'm thinking screens in the fuel shutoff valves,I'll take it apart and see. MUDDIE49:wink:
  9. Thanks for your responces...I did some tests today and found out the Fuel pump is bad,We have Vaccum going to the Fuel pump, but the outlet hose is not flowing threw to the Fuel shutoff valve...to the carb....so before we head out to buy a new F-pump...i'll try priming it.....thanks Fellers.....MUDDIE49:aargh:
  10. Thanks AMj...your right it is vacuum controlled....and i think we have a clogged hose or bad fuel pump....we're going to tear it apart this weekend....I'll let you know what we find....MUDDIE49:aargh:
  11. I'm helping a friend out...i picked up a king quad 1995 and it's not getting any fuel to the Carb...it has good gas flow threw to the petcock but not going into the Carb....,i took the backing plates off the petcock and Fuel dumped out.....do i have a bad petcock or is there a fuel pump somewhere or filter?I don't have a manual but in the process of getting one...I'm trying to help a friend....the petcock is not letting fuel threw to the carb...Can anyone help? Thanks MUDDIE49
  12. I just picked up a nice 1996 suzuki King quad 300 4x4 only 700 miles on it and i stole it cheap from my boss at work. he does'nt have a service manual or owners manual for it and i want to change the fluilds on the quad..can someone tell me where fill and drain plugs are and the Oil filter...i found a fill on the rear trans houseing that says 10W40 on the fill cap and a drain plug on the bottom does the engine oil and rear casing run the same oil?And does it have a gas filter and where the heck is it?? Thanks MUDDIE49:confused:
  13. Well....i installed the ITP 14 inch wheels and the 26 inch Zillas...and it looks like this,it came out nice....MUDDIE49
  14. Thanks fellers....i bought the kit from Super ATV...it costs les then 65.00...it was easy to install and i did take the fenders off in the front and use an extra floor jack to keep the axles from sliding out...it took me about 2 hrs...i have had no front end problems at all...the ride was alittle stiffer, but only felt this running it on blacktop or cement...off road in the fields and trails and Mud it felt fine...i am going to be running 26 inch Zillas Radials, i'm told Radials cover more of the ground and steer better also ITP ss108 wheels soon....as for the bumpers you do have to watch stripping the bolts....i torque them on with a torque wrench... I had to take the front apart only cause ,i could'nt see the shock towers..some guys leave them on and do them.... I wanted to go alittle higher, but did'nt want to put alot of stress on the axles....so a 2 inch lift and 26 inch Radials should ride like a dream on the trails....MUDDIE49
  15. I just put a ez install lift on my 2009 500, it was pretty easy...and it came out pretty nice....only sits a inch higher in the back.....i'm putting 26 ITP wheels and zilla's on it soon...Muddie49
  16. Sounds like theres a fuse Blown, have you check the fuses? and then check the voltage from the solinoid to the starter....MUDDIE49
  17. As much as i'd like to do that.....I'm not lowering myself to do that...they will never get my business ever again ,i'm just happy that ,i got lucky and met a get crew up at this other dealer,so the guy lost my business.Muddie49:yes: My Brother inlaw is buying at Polaris x2 off of this dealer...so they lost that sale..!!!
  18. Well it came home fixed!!!! WOooohoo....they did a great job on it and i'm very happy with my visit there....Traumbers were great from the gentleman bringing my quad and putting on the trailer for me to customer service((Lisa)) Thankyou Traumbers in Quakertown,Pa....it was great dealing with you and i'll see you in the future...!!MUDDIE49:partyc::partyc:
  19. Well i'm picking the Sportsman up on Saturday.....finally its fixed and i'll be out on Sunday, rain or shine finally putting sometime in the mud...I'm excited to finally get to ride it without problems.....MUDDIE49
  20. Well I took it in today and Polaris does care and is going to do all it can do to help me..I thought about it and found alot in the last few days about the dealership ,i bought the quad from and came to the conclusion that its the dealers fault and not Polaris....my dealer never recorded and reports or documinated anything on their findings with my quad, so its the dealer that does'nt give a crap and he will hear from me in not such a good way....MUDDIE49
  21. Well i talked to Polaris again last night and we've got the ATV going to a second dealer...I talk to this dealer and they did some checking with my VIN and found out no reports were given at all about my ATV and i was also told that the jack hammering noise comming from the ATV is not normal and no Polaris should have any kinda noises. like the one i have..so...we're back to square one with this new ATv...No noises should be there in the rear...!!!After this is all over with....this Polaris dealer will be exposed.....in my way...just a simple little story from day one till now.....of all the bs they threw at me for a month...MUDDIE49 One other thing....Polaris Emailed me today.!!!!...what do you mean...it only took over 3 weeks
