  3. Have fun guys, I'm looking forward to seeing the pics and videos!
  4. I've never seen that happen. Are you running any external accessories, like a winch or other? It's too new to fail like that. Edited topic title a bit to be more descriptive 👍
  5. I'm 44, not sure how old and crusty I am yet...
  6. I would tap the starter with a hammer a few times and see if it cranks. If it does, bad starter. If you jump the solenoid and it doesn't crank, bad starter.
  7. Good Morning! Spring is here, and I need to get some more claritin for my allergies!!!
  8. Proof that you are never too old to start ATV'ing! Brute Force is a nice quad. 👍 That's cool that you both started off on 3 wheelers. Never owned one and only rid one once.
  9. @wrench66 can you add this manual to our downloads section? or PM me a link and I'll do it? It may help others since it seems we don't have the right manual available. https://www.quadcrazy.com/files/category/6-kawasaki-atv/
  10. Looks who's back! Welcome back buddy, haven't seen you on here in a few!
  11. I like the Outlander Max 1000CC because I'm more into utility type of quad but if you are more into sport, get the renegade.
  12. Some people recommend going 1/2 throttle and taking it easy for the first 10 hours/100 miles. After that, change the oil. The engine is tested at the factory and my opinion is that you just don't go open throttle and beat on it for the first 10 hours/100 miles and change the oil maybe at 7-8 hours 70-80 miles. Use the correct oil with additives recommended.
  13. Congrats on your 2019, post some pics! I'm a fan of king quads 😋

    Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  15. I'm doing some work at my house this spring and will need to rake out about 1/2 an acre of ground because the fill comes with rocks and such. Has anyone used a rake they like or created something cool that works? Home depot has a Kolpin for $275.
  16. I believe 2008-2011 is all the same. There are two versions of the same one
  17. Does it jump or just buck like its running out of gas?
  18. I just added the manual to the downloads section and it contains the wiring diagram

  21. I looked around but can't find a pdf of it. The best I found was on ebay in cd rom for $20 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Polaris-Dealer-Service-Manual-CD-Rom-Ranger-500-EFI-2x4-4x4-9920851-CD/352119249793?epid=22005792208&hash=item51fbf15b81:g:urUAAOSwmvZZcMGp
  22. From your parts diagram, there are some parts that are available form https://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/50038989f870021f60a0a1fb/reverse-lever What did he actually take off, the grip or the actual lever? Some parts are no longer available it looks like.
  23. I would look at a parts schematic from a website like https://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/50038c94f870021f60a0b60b/crankcase and see if you can identify where they are originally from. Since it's Phillips head, I wouldn't think they were for the motor.
  24. Here are some of the ones I was looking at online: https://www.copart.com/content/us/en/landing-page/atv https://www.crankyape.com/default.asp?pg=DisItems&Cat=1 https://www.autoauctionmall.com/atvs https://www.autobidmaster.com/en/carfinder-online-auto-auctions/salvage-atvs/ What made me think about it was I was driving out on Long Island and went by this DPW town garage. They had a fenced in area with about 20-30 atvs. I'm assuming they were impounds.
