  4. the acid will stay good outside the battery. the majority of 'wet' batterries are shipped like that now and have a long shelf life. you'll be fine with it ...

  8. what does the smoke smell like? oil or fuel? how does your oil look (milky?) and what weight are you using? how are the vent lines from the crankcase to the air filter box? is there oil in the filter box?

  13. check the condition of your drive belt, it might just be narrowed and at that point of replacement ...
  14. looking online jb weld says its soluble before drying with gasoline, but once cured can withstand gasoline. damn, that sucks that that piece broke !! that is something that would just happen to me LOL. i know i was real careful taking that pin out, mine was in tight and i used an awl and hammer and tapped it out. i would probably clean the surfaces really good with some type of acid wash for the best adhesion ...

  22. I think what is happening is one of the levers on the transmission is jamming up because it is not fully shifting out of gear before you try and select the next gear. Take the nuts off of one end of the rods. make sure everything is in neutral. Now adjust the rods so that they drop into the holes exactly without putting any pressure on the rod ends in either direction. If that doesn't work out for you, you may need a new shift assembly.
