  1. How longs it been since you changed it? Maybe try getting a new one and doing a plug chop to get a true reading. Or at the very least wire brush the one you have and chop it. If its still black your getting too much fuel, go down in jet size.
  2. Figured I'd share the wealth with my over 35GB library of shop manuals. Enjoy, and everyone have a very Merry Christmas! 2005-2009 Honda TRX400EX/400X Honda_Trx_400ex_400x_Service_Repair_Manual_2009.pdf p/w: trx400ex400x 2000-2003 Honda Rancher TRX350 TM TE FE FM 2000-2003 TRX350 TM TE FE FM service.pdf p/w: trx350 2005-2006 Honda Foreman TRX500 FE FM TM Honda TRX500FE FM TM Foreman.pdf p/w: trx500 1988-1994 Honda TRX300 Fourtrax, 88, 90-94 TRX300FW Fourtrax 4x4 Honda Trx_300_Fourtrax_300_Service_Repair_Manual_1988-1994.pdf p/w: trx300 1995-2000 Honda TRX300 Fourtrax TRX300FW Fourtrax 4x4 http://www.mediafire.com/file/pi0x0w9n84xocc8/Honda%201995%202000%20TRX300%20Service%20manual.pdf p/w: trx300 1985-1986 Honda TRX125 Fourtrax 125 Honda_Trx_125_Service_Repair_Manual_1985_1986.pdf p/w: trx125 1995-2003 Honda Foreman TRX400FW Fourtrax HondaTrx_400fw_Foreman Service Manual 95-03.pdf p/w: trx400 2003 Honda Rincon TRX650FA TRX650FA_Rincon650_2003_ServiceManual.pdf p/w: trx650 1997-2004 Honda TRX250TE/TM Fourtrax Recon http://www.mediafire.com/file/7cl9nqjedbudo3h/Honda_Recon_Service_Repair_Manual_2004.pdf p/w: recon Thats a good starter kit...post up your requests in this thread, I have tons more...Hope this helps.
  3. Just thought I'd add a pic of my uncle's toy from up in Montana...He's spoiled rotten, and his wife puts up with it! Aftermarket toys are awesome!
  4. Depending on your money situation, the 450r shocks can be a money pit. If your weight is sufficient, then no need to worry too much, but they usually need to be sent to GT Thunder or someone like that to revalve them because of how stiff they are. But anything IMO is better than the pogo sticks that come stock on the 400EX. I noticed no one mentioned the timing advanced key...boy I ordered on of those and it made my 400 do wheelies through all the gears. Awesome mod! But not recommended with high compression setups. Just my $.02.
  5. Awesome find! I have a ton of service manuals too, if anyone is in need...Around 35GB of manuals. Bikes, ATV's, Foreign and Domestic vehicles...Just PM me.
  6. My Jeep in a bunch of snow...geez I love Colorado! btw it's for sale...
  7. Thanks DD, i know I havent been around much lately, but I just had twins in October, and its been a rough road through my wifes pregnancy. But things are starting to settle down a bit, and I'm no longer obligated to another site. So I'd be glad to help out.
  8. I'd be willing to step up and help out around here. I think I'd be a valueable resource and asset to the site with my wide range of knowledge and aptitude. I'm available at minimum once a day. Likely more.
  9. ive got any honda owners manual in pdf from 98 to present
  10. ive never done much riding up north, i tend to stick to my area...sometimes im known to go down to pueblo which is where the picture i posted at the beginning of this thread was taken...that was my break in trip for the new 400 motor. PMI has like 3000 acres of honor farm property right next to pueblo reservoir...awesome stuff. id love to meet up and go riding, but im sending my shocks off to gt thunder to be revalved and resprung next week and my head is at the machine shop getting a recreational p+p done, and who knows if ill see that back b4 christmas...lol but ill be around from now on so, if i get some free time on a weekend and the use of a machine, ill give ya plenty of notice and maybe we can make plans...thanks for the warm welcome guys! im installing my timing advance key this weekend and wont even get a chance to rip it up until i get my head and shocks back =( o well...next spring is gonna kick butt!!
  11. not too much anymore, especially after the 50 degree temps today and tomorrow, mainly the north facing slopes are all that has snow...but yea, rainbow falls is a blast btw, my wife is the exact same...hates the off camber stuff...hell im still tryin to get her to ride it like she owns it, its kinda funny, she just sits there like a limp noodle almost...im always like "get up on that tank like you own it"...shes gettin better though
  12. teller county...up by woodland park, deckers area, near 717 always good to meet fellow riders from the area...i work in castle rock, kinda wild to meet someone from denver. got the 400 from a kid in highlands ranch. GO Broncos!
  13. thanks guys...think i got it now and Happy Thanksgiving!
  14. that link in my original post has a picture of two of them...but everytime i try to post actual html tag so its hosted through photobucket, it just shows the html rather than the pic...i dunno whats going on, thats how ive always done it before
  15. just thought id drop a line to say hey to everyone...im 30 from colorado and ride a 01' 400ex and a 87' lt250r quadracer...have a shared 300ex for the family as well. anyhow, this site seems super cool and i cant wait to meet some of the great folks on here. drop me a line if your in need of any help when wrenchin' ive been workin on my own bikes and quads since i was 10 and have a huge service manual resource online as well. got the 400ex for $500 totally torn down and disassembled...kid took it apart and didnt know how to put it back together then lost his job...guess he said it was smokin'...he had the bottom end in 5 different crates...lol the 250r we picked up for $400 seized...lower rod bearing thrust washer...we've put a lot of cash into em' so far though for only getting them this summer...now that the 400 is completely sound and brand new enginewise, im thinkin about gettin some nerfs, bumper, exhaust, maybe a cam in a bit...damn things are money pits, thats for sure
