  2. thanks wylde1. i always wanted a tat(s) but never saw anything i liked or would like when i grew old. now that i'm old (lol), i found this and wanted it. i can sure see why one could mutiply into more. the guy that did this is really good, and said i was a great newbie for not passing out or crying and moving all over LOL. i actually liked it being done, not that i'm a ma*******, but it wasn't at all like what i had been told it was going to feel like. so now i'm looking for more ideas ...

  5. i'm using IE9 now and it works johnny lightning fast or hangs on this site. firefox is consistent or better most times. internet connection isn't the issue.

  12. all i have is the 4x4 on page 1 of this thread, post #3. i know the carbs are a real pain to get right, i had to do mine about 8 or 9 times before it was right. not sure if the specs would differ that much ...

  14. Yami makes a nice product and i hope you have years left on it, i'm sure you will ... i know that brake lights didn't become manditory in ontario until the 2000's, but my 91 big bear has brake lights, so i'm sure thats what it is for.
  15. agree GREENIE. i've been told to save the money jumping to the 1000. with the extra money saved, you can get alot of upgrades/wheel kits, for much less. yes they are very wicked !!!!
  16. came with 10w40 atv oil, not regular car oil, needs additives for tranny, and an 80 weight gear oil for the diffs ....
  17. it's just to measure how much shoe pad you have left ... when you squeeze the brake lever, there is a little triangle or arrow to show if they need replacing or not.

  20. seems like it would be for the brake light. maybe whatever it plugs into away from the lever is shot if it doesn't light up ... or a break in that wire? there would have to be a hot wire, one of the two i would think, unless it is livened up with whatever it plugs into ... do you have a voltage tester?

  22. i think it's a 1999. i would price yamaha parts from your dealer, then go to bikebandit.com and ebay for parts. upgrade to maybe a slip on exhaust and rejet the carb. the tires you can choose to fit your riding areas. itp tires have a good selection and are reasonably priced. your rims are 4/110 which are a very common size for the majority of the big name quads. just check your width, eg. 6", 8", 10"...
