  2. there is a clutch adjustment on the throttle side of the bike. looks like a slotted screw and a nut around it. not sure left or right to tighten, but once tight, back off a quarter to half turn ... this might help you out some too... 1993 - 2005 Yamaha Kodiak YFM 400 Service Manual.pdf

  7. try spraying carb clean in the carb while it's running good and dump the gas if old and replace with some gas/carb cleaner additive. a new plug would be good too ...

  13. i'm really not the best guy with carbs, i ran to cheriah with my problem i had mine ripped apart a dozen times before i got it right with the rebuild kit. cheriah is awesome and loves to help out. sorry i'm not the best help for you ...
  14. the little passages inside the carb need to be clear, and an easy way to do it is with a stripped twist tie from a garbage bag. an air compressor would be perfect to get everything out too (with carb cleaner of course). the needle and seat has to be near perfect, too sloppy-> it'll leak and too tight-> it won't flow. cheriah is the carb queen, and a member here. message her and she'll tell you some tricks too.
