i started out with a 1988 yamaha warrior, bought a brand new 1990 quadzilla 500 in 90,and then i got out of it for a while due to the fact there was no place to ride, and now own two yamaha 660 raptors, and hope to buy a yamaha 700 raptor in the near future

I want a quadzilla :o how much did you pay for it?

back then i paid 2500.00 out the door, and had to wait for them to put it together,if you are going to jump on a 500,you had better know what the hell you are doing, mine was clocked at 107mph in a quarter mile at a drag strip,so they are not for the weak at heart,or a newer rider

Good to see you back outlander!

I started with a 1987 Yamaha Warrior when I was 23 or 24, which was 12 or 13 years ago for about $800. I rode some atvs that my friends had before that though. Then when I was 26 I bought a brand new Kawasaki Bayou 220. A couple of years later I went to a Yamaha Kodiak 450. Then a King Quad 700. Now have a Grizzly 660.

Got my first quad when I was 9, it was an '85 Suzuki LT 125 Quadrunner, I hated that thing. My dad had an '86 LT 230S Quadsport, I loved that one, inherited it a few years later when my dad got an '89 LT 250R Quadracer. By then, I was more interested in the Quadracer than my Quadsport.

At the age of 17 I purchased 85 honda 250 fourtrax. Sold it in 87 to buy a left over 86 250 suzuki quad racer. In 1988 sold quad racer because of lack of places to ride. After several years gone by it was time for new toys. In 2004 got Honda cbr 600 then to Ninja 750 and finally 07 Suzuki 750 gxr. New Years eve of this year bought 2 2003 Honda 300 sportraxs for family fun. Finding places to ride in pa for free is like hitting the lottery but not going to give up trying lol.

Where in PA are you? I have friends that live in frakville and Barnsville that go out every weekend. All they pay is for gas.

  • 2 months later...

My first quad was an 86 Yamaha 200 Shaft Moto4 reverse. I was 9 years old and got it for my birthday. My father bought it still in its shipping crate and we had to put it together. Those were some cold nights!

My first snowmobile was a Ski Doo. It had no engine cover and I loved watching the butterflies open up when my father would gun it. I was to young to drive it myself.

The Moto4 is still running today and can still pull wheelies 100% original even rear tires

I think I was 6 or 7 when got my first atc. was a 1979 honda 110. Then I had a little street legal trail 90. Then a 84 atc 125m. Then a 85 200x. Then a 85 250sx.

Then I quit riding for some years because i just worked too much and one day i went and bought a 85 350x and my daughter a lt-a50 quad and i was hooked again. Now Ive got the 85 ATC 350x, and just bought an 85 ATC 250r and few months ago bought a 05 Honda Rancher 350 and I like it but im still moren fond of 3 wheelers because I like the drift style of riding. Pitching it and powering out instead of steering. Its just a crazier style of riding. Anyone who grew up on 3 wheels knows what im talking about. I ride them both but Atc riding was always more fun to me

Does anyone use GPS, whether on a device or app to record their ATV trail rides? I have been thinking about a section where our members can upload let's say a .gpx file and share their rides on a google map for others to see where there are riding areas. Not sure if this is something of interest or how much it would be used, so just trying to get an idea.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.
