  1. I would not be happy for too long. Somethings going on obviously. A spring is not is installed on the gears maybe or a gear reinstalled backwards etc. Something was missed. That reverse lock out can can be looked at while the cover is off do functionality. Review the work you’ve done and go back and look if you can. You will find it.
  2. Something snapped, weather it be a shaft or the chains (doubtful that both chains would snap though. So the chains have tension on them ? If so then it’s the cam chain drive shaft that snapped or the key way that holds that sprocket in place on the lower end.
  3. Wow that’s a rarity finding a bike that old with tye manulas. Hopefully you wont ever have to get into a tranny project!
  4. Lol that’s a great post. So the Chinese big bore kits hold up is what your saying I guess? Good to know because there carburetors suck!
  5. And those are the bike you part out.
  6. I would be on my way already with $1000 in hand. The Honda fourtrax alone in decent shape would be worth $500. That’s a lot of goodies to work on or part out and make good money on eBay but it would be over time.
  7. That’s awesome that it’s all there too! Great find. Going to be a lot of fun bringing it back to life. Maybe post some pics.
  8. Sounds great. Check letgo and CL for atv tires as well as amazon. Great prices.
  9. Sweet. I hate the anxiety of waiting on parts lol. Keep us posted.
  10. I know the feeling.
  11. I knew you would chime in on the Polaris @JacobSlabach 🤣. This boy loves the Polaris brand.
  12. That’s not a bad idea with the relay. I like it.
  13. I don’t know. I’ve never had a problem but @Admin or @Ajmboy maybe can help you out. I know they double check there downloads for any problems prior to adding them to the library.
  14. I don’t mean it like you should give your stuff away. I mean it like if there was a topic that came up and someone did need a specific part that I may have laying around I would give it up. I hold onto parts that are small but valuable. And value is not necessarily a money value. You will see as you awuire more bikes and parts.
  15. Ok I hear ya. Let us know how it goes. As far as the neutral safety switch it’s not bad to do.
  16. Welcome to Quadcrazy! Have you checked Kelly blue book on atv values to see where your at with what a atv your looking at is with ? Every state is different. https://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/4-wheel-atv/ Now for the performance concerns my feelings are the Polaris although it’s a little older is still a great bike. Very reliable and hold value. I think that price is a little out of line but not bad. But your looking at a much newer bike for about $400 more. Well worth it. Most of the newer bikes have fuel injection, better suspension and overall newer features. The only thing with the Polaris is the due to the year although a solid bike if you hold on to it for a while and have no intention of passing it down and want to sell it the year will be the haggling point as it’s your concern right now (the year) think about the next guy lol. Either way I think you can’t go wrong as far as getting a solid bike. I would go with the newer bike (just my preference)
  17. Ya nut job! Listen I would pay $100 for a used oem carb over a new Chinese carb any day. As long as it’s not cracked or stripped then it’s basically fine. $60 bucks worth of parts and it’s like new. I have my son rebuild them now for practice and try to hold on to them due to the bikes I buy that may be in need of a carburetor. I have a hell of a collection of cdi boxes as well. I hate to sell that sh** just because the min I do I will need one. I would also rather give one of my parts to a Quadcrazy member in need rather then sell it.
  18. Everything else sell. The the carburetor I would keep. Your going to to come across the bayous from time to time. Very popular and great money on flips. One will need a carburetor! That carburetor if it were me I would buy a rebuild kit and rebuild it. Even on eBay in great condition it’s a $100 item. But it’s better to have that on hand.
  19. Take your time with that adjustment. You will get it.
  20. Well done! Now you have to take that $800 and pick up another bike for $500 and have $300 set aside for a few repairs/cosmetics and sell it again for more $$$$
  21. That’s great glad to help. What parts are you going to order? That reverse cam was bad not my switch. But I lightly sanded that switch while I replaced that reverse cam just to clean up the contacts. The neutral safety topic will help you out. Maybe @Admin can help combine all your topics to one so it’s essier to respond and keep one topic going. Btw that part was $12 bucks oem on eBay. Gasket kit entire kit amazon $38. Might as well get the whole kit. Never know
