  1. Hahaha that great. I love the breaking news part. Those tracks sure throw up a ton of snow. Good stuff @Gunny
  2. Sounds like a catchy name. Spray and pray penetrating oil !!!!
  3. I’m sure a good soaking and some work I bet that carb can be saved. When they are that bad I don’t even try to take them apart without a one day soak. Here is a pic of of a soaking process. It comes with the basket inside etc. let it soak for a day and then try to take the carb apart. Put parts back in the basket and soak again. After that some compressed air small piece of wire to clean the jets and it should be fine.
  4. Worst case you spray them with some with some WD-40 a day before.
  5. Key work reverse stopper cam for a bayou. Many will come up.
  6. Oem part on eBay. There were multiple vendors. I was asking $1500 prob willing to go to down to $1350 but I’ve held back and decided not to sell it.
  7. I wonder what the cost of this investigation was ? Tax payers prob paid upward of 2 million for this
  8. Good points @JacobSlabach.
  9. It’s not so simple to put any cdi on another bike. The same manufacturer and similar year maybe you stand a chance. Have you looked on eBay. I’ve seen a few for that bike from $70 to $170 used oem. As far as the cut off plug we can help you figure that out but another cdi tying in would be a challenge.
  10. Aftermarket carbs are a much repeated topic here at Quadcrazy and will be a talked about topic forever! Many times here we’ve spoke about them and the general census is that they are not very good. One of our memebers @JacobSlabach has mentioned that they needed to be adjusted way out from the spec position and has gotten them to work. But the way I see it, if the quad is worth it then put an oem carb on. I always check eBay for a used oem.
  11. Caltrec. So far two years into it on my bear tracker and I beat the crap out of it. No problems. I’ve used them on other bikes with no problems.
  12. What brand did you get just curios. Reason I’m asking is I’ve ised one aftermarket brand and it worked great.
  13. The tires I get. We get snow and I would think they would help. But that front end is just out of whack when it comes to a proportional look. It overpoweres the look of the bike. I also feel like your head can slam down on it if you stop short for any reason.
  14. How is the sprayer wired ? Directly to the battery with a switch/relay ? Or into the fuse box or harness ? Also what’s the amperage draw on the sprayer ? There should be an electrical label on the unit someplace that shows the electrical draw on the bike when in use.
  15. Dam Jacob that would be a trek for you! VA to PA!!
  16. So I’m always looking around on different types of pages on atv’s and new mods etc. lately I’ve been seeing a lot of this radiator mount super high up on the front end. Some have integrated the snorkel into it as well. Personally I’m not a fan but wondering what’s everyone’s thoughts on the way it looks?
  17. Any other questions on that bike ask away!
  18. $8000 for a new bike. Crazy.
  19. What kind of bike ? Make year model ? Generally the stator is plug and play but if your splicing it in why? Different year ? Harness ? Anything’s possable so let’s see if we can help.
  20. Haha great post @Gunny I love the emoji party on this post!
  21. I would.....fix that 99, ride it and get a feel for a 4x4. You may find that power and climbing ability as well as some speed may suit you better. It’s not the rapid response of a 2wd speed demon but it will climb, pull, not get stuck kinda ride along with the plowing ability. If you like it then sell that 99 for a profit and buy another and upgrade as the summer goes and before you know it you will have a newer 4x4 to roll around on. If you fall in love with the 4x4 life and sell the 99 for some profit and sell your 06 you will have a nice stack to buy a 2014 or better 4x4 prob with a plow ! I used to be the 2wd two stroke maniac. I’ve changed and very happy. What’s to say you can’t pick up a two stroke to putz around on once in a while anyway should you get the itch? I’m sure there’s tons out there.
