  1. A son awsome! He will be ripping it up in no time.
  2. I would clean the carb and change the plug and see how it runs from there.
  3. Good Morning QC time to work on the quads, Then riding tomorrow.
  4. One idea is that if you stop suddenly the ctv does not have a chance to close properly wedging the belt and holding the sheaves open. When you attempt to pull away the belt slips (and chirps) into the lower position allowing you to have the proper gearing. Secondly belt dust can be a problem even without mud or water in the cvt. take the footboard off and then the clutch cover. The two long bolts go towards the back. Make sure not to tear the metal gasket it is reusable. Then clean everything with brake cleaner if needed. Also check to see if the bolt on the primary is tight (if you never took the primary off then you wouldn't have to worry about this) Finally I would be suprised if the belt was out of tolerance at those miles and you should be fine with a good cleaning. After you clean things up let us know if it is still happening and what kind of noise it is making ie chirp at start or constant squeel or noting. Something similar happened to me this winter when I was plowing. I tried to push a large snow pile and glazed the belt by having it slip when attempting to move forward. I changed the belt with an older spare and all was fine. I was also told that you can attempt to remove the glazing with some fine sandpaper by sanding the sides of the belt lightly. PS I added the make and model to the title
  5. Looks good and you saved some cash. Spacers usally go for around $50 a pair.
  6. It looks like alot of fun, wish I lived closer.
  7. On some of the later models they were doing a stock muffler mod by adding another exhaust port to the stock muffler. Here is an example of a moded 300. "for the muffler mod, i cut off both ends, drilled some 3/8" holes in the first baffle, completely removed the rear baffle and installed a larger exhaust outlet." 8. Lol Good Mid Morning guys. It's been a bust week.
  9. I think he may have died a while ago via natural causes if not a few days ago. There is some buzz about that. With proof I may be inclined to believe it but if you can photoshop a birth certificate you can photoshop some pictures. I don't think if Osama was alive today he would be able to sit there and listen to the USA cheer for victory without making some kind of statement.
  10. I think if Osama bin Laden was not dead he would have to come forward with a video to prove to the world he was not killed by the USA. So with nothing surfacing I believe he is dead. The only thing that is very upsetting is that Obama is taking all the credit for the victory. The same president who tried to cut troops pay and benifits. I am not sure if Obama would be willing to risk his life like our Troops fighting overseas.
  11. I have an EPI Red Secondary Spring and Like it. I messed around with the clutches themselves for the lower gearing.
  12. I'm not a Polaris expert but I know that a lot of brands have bearings where the drive shafts go through the case. I would check to make sure all of those bearings are in good condition.
  13. Check this site out maybe it will give you an idea of asking price: New Prices, Used Values & Specs for ATVs - NADAguides There are a few guys on here that love to ride three wheelers and maybe they will chime in. Unless it is a rare make I would say a few hundred tops.
  14. I would have put money on #4. the plug for the adjusting hole.
  15. Yes there are shims to remove, it will take some effort to get to them. Some people have problems with the belt others don't. I have over 2000 miles on my belt and it is fine. I am sure if you never shimmed it before that is all that will be required.
  16. Ride Lost Trails | Lost Trails ATV Adventures| ATV Park | Off Road Vehicles The Lost Trails which was located in Pocono Pines has now secured a new location and will be opening May 7th. 17. I enjoyed reading your build thread. I think you have made a good purchase. Keep scanning Ebay for replacement parts that is your best bet. The more the photos the better in these threads. Check to see what color the smoke is that may tell us more.
