  1. Nice Truck I like the GMC better than the Chevys now. So what are you pulling with it?
  2. Good, I thought I would break a ton of Axels or the Bevel gear with those tires but I just ride smart. I love the fact that I can get through just about anything. Last summer I even schooled a jeep in the mud pit. Cats are funny some are always breaking and some run strong I think it is all about preventative maintenance. Check out some of my vids on youtube.
  3. I always hurts to loose a friend or watch someone get hurt. If you are careful and not doing anything stupid then it is truely an accident and well they happen. I have seen a few bad acidents and even had a few close calls. The point is that if you are a hard core rider you choose to take that risk. Everyone percieves what is dangerous based on what they feel comfortable with. Football is dangerous you can get hurt or become paralized but that sport in no way has the same bad wrap. I just think it is others that do not understand what getting out with friends and family while atving/camping is really about who are quick to put down our sport.
  4. Good morning everyone, looks like there is more snow in the forcast.
  5. Glad to see you got it to work and you can ride now. I was kind of hoping it would be a direct replacement. Just make sure you seal the wiring tight. I usally use that shrink tubing stuff.
  6. Good Morning guys I am excited about the new year and already planning rides. How much snow do you guys have in NY?
  7. I think I misunderstood your first post I did not know it was broken I just assumed it was not working. Definately have a case there. It looks like others have had the same experience also. I still think that the best way to get it resolved is to speak to cycle country.
  8. We are going to try and get out Sunday. Happy New Years Everyone!
  9. Did you check out their terms of service before you placed your order? Terms of Sale - Cheap Cycle Parts They say they will not return electrical parts. I am on your side that this sucks because I have been there with a huge snowstorm and the plow down but it might not be fair to rip them a new one if their decisions are in line with their policies. I would be more upset with the manufacturer for their QA/QC of their product leaving the factory. However according to cycle counrty's website they are very quality focoused. In my opinion this is why I like the brick and mortar places are easier to deal with when I have a problem. Would cycle country let you exchange it at one of their other local dealers?
  10. Thats not a bad deal at all for a direct replacement. Let us know how you like the fan mans service. Is he in the US?
  11. I replace my AC stock fan with a $50 part from autozone. They are not as well built compared to the factory ones for deep water riding but for the trails they work just fine. (I rode my autozone fan in deep water for about a year before it gave out, then just got a new one, still around $100) Just measure the diameter of your fan and then check out what they have in stock.
  12. I totally agree with DD it is either the head gasket or the water pump o ring. Don't run it too much until you get the problem solved. I would use some cheap wet clutch safe oil to flush out the motor a few times before running it for good. For the first flush add a little sea foam. Just add the oil run it till it warms up and then drain. Check for the milky consistancy and then repeat until a oil change or so until it is gone. The good news is that if it was coolant and not swamped then there should not be any debris (sand dirt mud) in the engine and your cylinder walls should be in good shape. I would however replace the rings in there becuase of the ATVs age.
  13. First welcome to the forum!! If he flooded the engine and did nothing for three years that is not good news. You would have to tear it down and rebuild it. First is first. See if the starter works and that you are getting spark and gas. Next would be to try and crank it with the plug removed. See if any water comes out of the spark plug hole. If it still dosen't crank over then I would pull the top end and see what kind of condition it is in. Also if is in deed coolant and not pond water then you would have to most likely replace the head gasket anyways. I would also clean the carb and make a note of what jets are installed in there. Take some pics and come back and let us know how you are doing. I work on arctic cats alot (454 not so often) and would be glad to help.
  14. Thanks, Happy Holidays to you too. Now all we need is a little snow.
  15. Thanks, I am glad I can help. I love the members and positive attitude of this forum.
  16. I would be interested in looking after the Arctic Cat section if you are looking for someone for specific areas and possibly I can glance thru a few more sub boards as time permits.
  17. The best would be to use an aftermarket CDI the other way would be to jump the wires as they did here. Be careful though because they change from year to year and some of a newer year are leftovers. Reverse over ride on a 700
  18. It is a little far for me but That's a nice mud pro.
  19. I definately miss the Lost Trails. Good Pic.
  20. Thanks there may be another ride in the fall. I will shoot you a PM if there is.
  21. I love the size of your new cat. I bet it can really tear up the trails.
