  1. I would pull the connector to the pod and clean it with electronic cleaner spray then reconnect it first. Its also called contact cleaner, you can get it at any auto parts store. Mike
  2. You can download the service manual for free here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts"
  3. You posted the same thing on ArcticChat and then deleted it. At least here I got to see what you originally posted. From what I see, the core problem is your dealer. Failing to diagnose and fix the problem on several occasions. It has been said over and over, a good dealer makes a huge difference. I am lucky to have such a dealer. It is the dealer that can work with Arctic Cat to resolve a problem. Your original dealer is certainly going to be of no use to you, but I would talk to the second place you took it to. Too bad you did not take pictures of the clean snorkles and dirty air box, that would have been great evidence that your original dealer did not assemble and/or inspect the machine properly before selling it. I have seen my dealer go to bat for another customer who was out of warranty and still got a problem covered. I bought two machines off him and will certainly buy my next one from him. Mike
  4. Well if jumping out the starter relay does make it crank, then I would check for voltage on its input pin when you press the starter button. You could have a bad button or broken wire. Mike
  5. You can download it for free here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts"
  6. The big fuse is probably a 30 amp main fuse. pull it out and you should be able to visually see if its blown. An ohm meter will verify that. Mike
  7. Pickup coil tells when to fire the spark plug. Had a broken wire on one with a machine and that caused a no spark issue. Mike
  8. Its no problem, most people have done dumb things, like the kill switch is on and don't know why it won't start kinda things. It happens, all that matters is you found the problem. Mike
  9. The "Belt" indicator was for the V-twins with the Kawasaki motor. From your description that does not sound right. Sounds like the pod got messed up I don't think your machine has a belt sensor. It meant it was time to change the belt. You have t find out what happened why it wouldn't start back up. Your battery could have just up and died. Mike
  10. Looking at the schematic, the output from the regulator / rectifier connects to a "red splice" in the harness which is a main hot wire lead. Although the ACC fuse is on that circuit as well, it also branches to the main 30amp fuse. The only way to know if the regulator is sucking power off the battery is to disconnect it and see if that draw on the battery drops. Mike
  11. You need to measure how much current is being drawn by the battery. Set the meter to amps and do what you did to the battery wire. You need to find out how much current is being drawn. It is normal for the pod to use a very small amount to keep the clock going, but it will not draw down a battery overnight. The ACC fuse is for your accessories including the display of the pod. It is common for the winch control, hand warmers to be attached to the accessory circuit. There is usually a 2 prong connector under your steering column for these accessories. If you have a winch and/or handwarmers. Disconnect them and see if the current drops to almost nothing. You could also have rubbed through wires near the steering post, but I would check the above first. Mike
  12. You could just buy an Arctic Cat super duty diesel quad. Probably would be cheaper then trying to modify a gas engine. Diesel 700 Super Duty » Arctic Cat
  13. It does sound like the ignition switch is bad, its easy to replace and not expensive, but you have to get one from a Cat dealer, or order online at Country Cat Mike
  14. normal thread, lefty-loosie, impact wrench is the best way to remove it.
  15. 10mm X 1.25 is the thread. Remove the hub and heat up the area with a torch and you should be able to pop them out. Mike
  16. The sticky posts above have a link where you can download the wiring diagrams for free. You will see a small draw because the pod needs it to maintain the clock. Mike
  17. Something is preventing the float needle from closing off. Could be a bit of debris inside
  18. Try disconnecting the battery overnight, then before connecting them back to the battery, touch them together. That will reset the pod.
  19. You can look up parts from country cat here: CountryCat.com
  20. 3rd annual event at Lost Trails ATV Park, Dunmore, PA Attached flyer has the details
  21. I use the Garmin Oregon 450t which allows loading custom maps into it. Mine came with the US 100K topo maps already installed (hence the "t") Mike
