Can't answer your question but hello from a fellow 'Cat rider. Mike
-
I got started in 2007, my brother had a quad since 2003 but I had to wait until money allowed. I just like being outside riding trails and enjoying the scenery. Always have a camera with me. Now I got my girl a machine, its something we do together now. Mike

Extract and Print Arctic Cat ATV Schematics
mikeexplorer replied to mikeexplorer's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
The only problem I see moving the topic is the first link has the service and schematics for Arctic Cats only. I don't know if any other brands have their service manuals / schematics in PDF format. If you do have schematics in that format, this procedure will work just fine. Being able to print mine on 4 sheets of paper has been real handy. Mike -
The website that has the schematics located here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts" The file is large and includes a whole slew of schematics, the question is how to extract out the one you need and print it? The diagrams don't print well on a regular sheet of paper due to their size so here is a procedure to get the diagram you need and make a nice print. This will be with utilities you can get for free (the best kind After downloading the large PDF of the schematics, go to this website here... Tracker Software Products :: PDF-XChange Viewer, Free PDF Reader Download pdf-xchange (its free) Open the pdf file with this program. by clicking on the selections you can get to the exact schematic you need. Once its displayed do this: File -> Export -> Export to Image Select "Current page" , Image type "JPEG", choose your folder to drop the image, give it a name like "2006 400 auto" set page zoom to 100% and resolution to 300 or 400 dpi Then click export. You will now have a JPG of the page. Next step is to go to this website... posteriza.com - Home Download the program (free) What this will do is allow you to tke this large JPG and break it up onto several pages. I use 4 for the schematics. Its pretty easy to follow and I print them without a border. Print them out and use an old fashioned "cut & tape" and you will now have a nice large printout of your schematic. Mike

2000 Arctic Cat 300 Fouls plug and runs rough
mikeexplorer replied to mannaserv's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
I would not run the quad with no air filter, that will cause you nothing but big problems! My old dealer (who is gone now) did not put my intake back on right and it sucked in unfiltered air and the next thing I know I needed a top end rebuild. Mike -
This phone isn't supported anymore and started running slow and crappy. Still too far out before I can upgrade so since there is no warranty anyway I rooted it and installed the 2.3 android system. Wow, its like having a new phone again. Don't get me wrong, rooting is risky but the procedure they have out now do make it easy. Mike

2006 Arctic Cat 400 Wiring Diagram Needed
mikeexplorer replied to brianmcgowan's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
The size of the JPG might be too small to see everything. The site that has the diagrams is here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts" The 4th file down (note large file) is the schematics. Best bet is to make a large print of it to follow it better while you wrench the quad. Here is what you do. Download the large PDF, open it in adobe reader, find the diagram you need. Right click on it, select "copy image" then open paint and paste it in, save as a JPG. Now to read it properly it needs to be printed on multiple pages. Go to this site. posteriza.com - Home Download Posteriza (its free) Now you can open the JPG and print it on 4 sheets of paper and do an old fashioned cut & tape and you will then have a nice large print of your schematic. 2006 Arctic Cat 500 stalling problem
mikeexplorer replied to swaldow's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
The plug doesn't have to be fouled to have a weak spark. It may have gone bad internally. I would start there. Other possible causes is the carb is dirty, or the valves might need adjusting. Try adding a good dose of Seafoam in the gas and see if that helps it out. Mike -
Here is one I got.

2006 Artic Cat 700 efi wont turn start
mikeexplorer replied to tapandsons's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
Arctic Cats have a CDI box usually located under the seat that could cause this. I could start my quad with the pod removed. (removed it once to dry it out) Also if the ACC fuse is blown the pod will be blank, but the quad will still fire up. (had that happen too) Mike -
2006 Artic Cat 400 Auto - engine stumble
mikeexplorer replied to nutsy's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
Something to try is to hold in the reverse override and see if the problem goes away. The CDI might be thinking your in reverse, which unfortunately could mean a bad CDI box. Mike -
2006 Artic Cat 700 efi wont turn start
mikeexplorer replied to tapandsons's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
No display would make me tend to think a blown fuse. My quad is carb'ed but a blown ACC fuse will make my pod blank but the backlights work. Mike -

Stock batteries tend not to last long. I replaced mine with an aftermarket one and its been good since. -
The course is about 22 miles long and technical. They added a new section this year which runs through a pine forest area. The course will take 3-3.5 hours to run. They always put on the best poker run. Mike

Its getting hard to do anymore after last years incidents of quads racing up the main streets. Mike

Hallstead is holding their 4th annual ATV poker run. Just off the Great Bend exit of I-81 near the NY border. Details can be found here. Hallstead Volunteer Fire Company - Station 7 - Hallstead, PA This is the perhaps the best poker run. The course is about 22 miles and is technical. Dirt bikes and dune buggies are NOT recommended for this course. Mike HVFD_PR_2010_3.pdf
