  1. Lost trails is local to me. I have a yearly membership there and do frequent the place. The tours they have where they supply the machines and helmets are a guided tour, they offer both side by sides and quads. They do well with these tours, I always see them out on the trails. You can pay by the day or buy a yearly membership. Its good for 12 months, so if you buy it in May, its good until next May. They have about 2,200 acres and about 35 miles of trails. The terrain is variable and marked as Green, blue, black and red. Some play areas with mud holes. Some of the trails follow the old gravity railroad bed and there is a cool tunnel you go through. There are also remains of the engine houses that used to haul the cars up the planes if you interested in history. I have found a lot of artifacts from the railroad including sections of strap rails and pulleys. These trails aren't the type to go very fast on, they are twisting in the woods type trails, some trails are rocky others have been groomed (but being in NEPA on the Moosic Mountain ridges, its never baby smooth) Mike
  2. This site I know is safe for Arctic Cat Manuals http://www.mymowerparts.com/pdf/Arctic-Cat-ATV-Repair-and-Service-Manuals/ This site is also safe http://countrycat.com/ccstore/index.php/kbase/

  4. I still have my original warn winch on my 2007 machine. I have replaced the cable twice already, but I also plow with it. I have taken it apart and cleaned it according to this guide probably 3 or 4 times. One time after cleaning it would not stay engaged. My dealer suggested to take part #14 in the attached diagram. (drive shaft) and shave off 1/16" inch from the end (towards the sun gear, #18) to allow it to go in a bit deeper and not strip out. There is still plenty of clearance for freespool mode. One time I did strip these two parts, because I had the winch overloaded trying to pull a machine up a bad spot. As for the starter question, it is easy to get to and remove. I posted links a while back on where to download the service manuals for free. The brushes in the starter were worn and I was able to find a replacement online for about $35. 5. Here is a good guide for taking apart and cleaning a WARN winch. Mike Winch Cleaning Guide.pdf
  6. Try disconnecting the battery overnight, this sometimes resets them.
  7. Countrycat.com is also a good place for OEM parts.
  8. Here is a copy of the last Hallstead ATV Poker run I tracked Hallstead Poker Run 2016.gpx
  9. I use android, some of the apps I have I use are "Open GPS tracker" (free) "Journey tracker" (free) Openstreets Android "OsmAnd" (pay) but there is a free version, "US Topo Maps" (pay)
  10. The software I use is called "expertgps" it is not free, but I use this program for a lot of my other hobbies so its worth it for me. I do not like using a phone for GPS tracking as the sensors are not as good as a real GPS unit and it puts a heavy toll on the battery. The tracks and data can be imported/exported to almost any format I choose and I can transfer them to my phone or tablet.
  11. Koyo bearings are the best quality and hold up the longest of all of them I have used. Thanks for posting the information!
  12. I use a GPS for trail riding, with the software I use it has a nice feature I can geotag photos I take while riding. I also have taken several trail maps and converted them so they can be displayed on a GPS while riding. Mainly the larger PA state forest trail maps and AOAA's map. Mike
  13. Check your accessory fuse first, if thats good, unplug the quad from the battery overnight, that sometimes resets the pod. Mike
  14. Country Cat is also a good place for parts.
  15. Agreed, try a second plug. I have had bad ones in the past. 2006-2007 models were known to have flywheel magnet problems. I would check the trigger from the magneto Mike
  16. You can download the service manual for free here "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts" Mike
  17. I would do that and add an inline gas filter Mike
  18. I would pull the connector to the pod and clean it with electronic cleaner spray then reconnect it first. Its also called contact cleaner, you can get it at any auto parts store. Mike

  20. You posted the same thing on ArcticChat and then deleted it. At least here I got to see what you originally posted. From what I see, the core problem is your dealer. Failing to diagnose and fix the problem on several occasions. It has been said over and over, a good dealer makes a huge difference. I am lucky to have such a dealer. It is the dealer that can work with Arctic Cat to resolve a problem. Your original dealer is certainly going to be of no use to you, but I would talk to the second place you took it to. Too bad you did not take pictures of the clean snorkles and dirty air box, that would have been great evidence that your original dealer did not assemble and/or inspect the machine properly before selling it. I have seen my dealer go to bat for another customer who was out of warranty and still got a problem covered. I bought two machines off him and will certainly buy my next one from him. Mike
  21. Well if jumping out the starter relay does make it crank, then I would check for voltage on its input pin when you press the starter button. You could have a bad button or broken wire. Mike
  22. You can download it for free here. "K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts"
  23. Post the VIN number, you can decode the year from it
  24. The big fuse is probably a 30 amp main fuse. pull it out and you should be able to visually see if its blown. An ohm meter will verify that. Mike
  25. Pickup coil tells when to fire the spark plug. Had a broken wire on one with a machine and that caused a no spark issue. Mike
