Yep, that sounds like the CDI box is bad and fails under heat.

Is this because of the cost of fuel these days? I find more people drive less because of the cost of a gallon of gas these days. 2600 miles is far!

Yeah 400 EX is a good choice. You can find peobably find an older one cheap.

Yeah this is cool. Now we can profile atvs. SunLrider, I see yours and noticed you customized your profile like me...but some of the text in the Garage is not coming up. I played around with it. That can be a reason, try changing the trans fluid. But, usually it slips when the wrong oil is added.
