  1. I take it this is a CVT drive with a manual shift, if so the water is probably getting in through the clutch air intake/exhaust ports, and the belt is getting wet, so it slips untill things dry out again. There should be a drain plug at the bottom of the clutch cover. If the water is not deep enough to get in there, it could also be the gasket on the clutch cover is not sealing properly.
  2. Ya, i think with the two guys ahead of him in points, he figured that just finishing the race was a major accomplishment tonight lol. It's like a brand new season, the top five all have a legitimate shot at the title now!
  3. Where do you get you're Yamaha parts from?
  4. What the heck just happened tonight??? WOW, Stewart crashes and goes off on a back board...the points leader (Villapoto) doesn't even qualify for the main...and the number two in lites points (Baggett) doesn't make the main???... Must be the full moon curse lol
  5. Ya, i hate to admit it, but you're right.....We're GEEZERS!

  7. Has anyone found a K&N power lid for a 2009 Raptor 700? I haven't had any luck finding one for this model. If someone has found one i'd like to know where it is avalliable, thanks.
  8. What were the problems with the pro tech lid? I'm looking to get an airbox lid for my raptor this summer, but need some feedback as to what everyone uses and what they think of them. More opinions from everyone would be appreciated.
  9. Did you put new rings in it? If not, did you check wear by using a feeler gauge to check for acceptable ring end gap. A service manual should advise you to service limit on ring end gap.
  10. You could check your clutch basket, might have wear groves and clutch plates can't freely move back and forth in the basket, causing them to hang up, and therefore not disengage. Just a thought.
  11. hey rich, everything back to normal with the flooding problem?
  12. mornin' willypop, did you catch supercross last night?
  13. good deal, that engine should work good for this project, keep us posted.
  14. How's the build going, did you decide on a powertrain?
  15. Cool, i've got a set of those on my Raptor 700.
  16. You mentioned you have LTE dual exhaust, is that Looney Tuned exhaust?
  17. That's a pretty sweet lookin' machine!
  18. I agree with DD, sounds like a timing issue.
  19. you'll have to wait till your birthday quadnut.... or for santa to bring you a pair....have you been a good boy?:angelsad2c::reddevilc:
  20. That bad boy could have been in road warriors.
  21. Another option is to take the airbox lid off if your not riding in wet conditions. That way you aren't doing any mods that aren't reversable. You can also get a airbox lid/filter combo which will drastically increase your airflow, but also keep out water and mud. Rocky Mountain ATV sells the Pro-Tech lid for around 90$.
  22. Nice getaway AB, did you get the snow shoveling withdrawals while you were there? lol:wink:
