I have never had a problem on ATVFAN. I guess I'm not as vocal as you! J/K The only bad thing I have to say about atvfan is...ENOUGH WITH THE CAN-AM TALK
Also Roody's quote from dirtwheels for 98% of his answers.

By the way its not vocal. In this day and age , it's a good/bad habit of calling it how you see it.

I'm a member www.atvoutdoors.com forum.I go by the same username there also.I found this one when the outdoors site was down.I haven't decided which one I like better. This site is set up different and it's taking me some time to get used to the design setup of everything.I'm not a moderator on any forum site and I don't think I'm computer savvy enough to be one.I'm still trying to learn how to post pics.:confused:Last night I got a friend setup as a member to this site.He goes by hondaboy1970.I'm a member of a couple car forums as well- NAISSO Impala SuperStore Parts and Gift Catalog and ImpalaSSForum.com I have a '96 Caprice project car;but I'm starting to lose interest in it.Cars cost alot more to mod than quads and have the same effect. All in all I like this site;especially all the tabs at the top of the page and how you can preveiw a post before you click on it.I really don't have any suggestions;just keep up the good work!

Do you take part in another atv community forum? We'd love to know! We want to make sure that we offer all our members as much as we can. If you are active in another atv community and/or forum, we would like to know is the following:

1.Name of the forum/site/url

NY ATV

The Mud Buds

Brute Central

Quad Magazine

2.How active you are there

I'm pretty active on NY ATV and The Mud Buds as they're my 2 local ATV clubs....

I'm somewhat active on Brute Central as it's a good source for Kawasaki quads....

I'm somewhat active on Quad Magazine's forums because...um...it's about quads :cute:

3.What do you like the most there

Clubs are clubs ;) good people...good riding...get together for other things than riding too...

The other sites just seem like a good bunch of people and a good source of info....

4. What do you dislike there

Can't really say that I have a strong dislike about any of the sites I posted....

5. If you could change something there or add something, what would it be.

See #4

Thank you for your input!

You're quite welcome....dang it! LOL!

let's see, I have a couple thousand posts on ATV Connection, cool, huge place but the mods seem to ignore everything. A couple thousand posts on Bluetraxx, yammies only, I should spend more time there. ATV Source is nice and growing, and one more I promised Buck Billy I wouldn't mention, but I agree with fox300exchic:no:

Yes, many.

I'm still a moderator at ATVFan.

I'm a member on:

High Lifter

Brute Central

Grizzly Central

Northeast ATVers

NYROC

QuadCrazy

I'm only a regular poster on ATVFan. Brute Central, High Lifter, this site and Northeast ATVers are once-in-a-whole posting places, and the others are rare that I post on them.

1.ATVFan and ATV Connection

2.I use to visit ATV Connection all the time until I found this site. I dont like ATVFan.

3.ATV Connection is a pretty big forum so I could usually find whatever I needed.

4. There are a lot of people on ATV Connection that make stupid posts and are deleted members. I just dont like ATVFan cuz it sucks.

5. ATVFan just needs to be deleted. ATV Connection needs to scan the members better.

This is just about what I would say and I am also a member at exriders.com - The one thing I get really frustrated with on any forum, the search option stinks or is none existant. This makes if very hard to find old threads on stuff your looking for, especially on big forums.

highlifter forums i go to a lot because its all utilities and thats wat i like... and they know a boat load of stuff for my arcticat.... i also like the way its organized like they have a link for arctic cat riders and all they dicusee is arctic cats, and they have all the other brands and wen u click in it it only discuss ur type of atv so u dont have to search everywhere for an answer.... and i also go onto arcticchat forums well used to go their a lot but not that much anymore great site though very helpful

Forums.AtvConnection.com

Somewhat.. but not so much recently

Large variety/selection of members

The site itself sucks, bad setup. dated forum tech, slow, dated features...

I would switch it to vBulletin (the best type of forums)

Hey all, BruinBeater here.  Just joined up from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Got a Polaris Sportsman 1000 and a 570 in the garage that don't get ridden quite enough but looking forward to a family trip this fall.
I'm the unofficial mechanic of the extended family.  In the past month or so I've replaced a transmission in a Chevy Silverado, rust repair on a Chevy Malibu, electrical repair on a Subaru Crosstrek, overheating issue solved on a Can Am Commander, and right now I have a pair of Grizzly and a Bruin 350 in the garage.  Both have a no start condition and have been sitting for 2+ years.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum.
I have been riding quads for the last 20 years, however my quads are extremely old and outdated, all three are about 20 years old LOL.
I have been looking at upgrading, but need your input.
I've narrowed it down to the Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 S or the Honda FourTrax Foreman 4x4 EPS
      What do you guys think?

I bought this from a buddy to plow snow up in the North Eastern Washington- its been getting oil in the water and I've been changing the oil often and adding collant as necessary-
I've taken the stator cover off and I'm looking at the Oil Seal and water pump seal and they look good- Although I've ordered a factory oil Seal I'm looking at putting it in this afternoon-
I don't have the factory service manual- am I suppose to Add RTV to the Stator cover Gasket? I've seen some folks suggest grease other suggest RTV?

Any suggestions here- I'm trying to reassemble it tonight- I looked at downloading the manual but need to get up to 10 posts firsts it looks like-

I appreciate any suggestions- normally I'm a jeep and honda dirt bike guy- but  I got a good deal on the quad and a plow so I went for it
Its got a bit over 3K and runs pretty good- but I've had her tore apart for 3 weeks to figure out the oil in the coolant issue.

      Hello.
I'm new to the forum, I live in the UK. I have just bought a 1995 Yamaha Moto 4 350.
Generally the condition isn't too bad (I paid very little for it!), it looks quite original and all the plastics are quite good. The bad bits are no brakes, the rear axle bearings are shot and the transmission won't shift through the gears properly.
I'm not planning on a full rebuild but I would like to sort it out a bit. The transmission is my main concern. If anyone has any ideas on what might be the cause I would be grateful. I can explain what's happening in more detail if required.
      Thanks everyone,
      Kester
