  1. Sounds like a neutral safety switch issue. Does it start in neutral?
  2. @Christy Miller I moved your status update into a new forum topic, this way maybe you can get some assistance. I would take the harness apart and see if anything is salvageable and can be reconnected. If you need to replace it, I believe this might be it.... just verify by YMM. This should be the service manual:
  3. @dink1970 I created a new topic for you in the Can-Am UTV forum. Please stay on top of it and update as needed.
  4. I moved your post into a new topic since its not related to the service manual topic you replied to. What year is your Bayou and is it a 220 or 300? What's the actual issue, it cranks but doesn't start?
  5. So for oil, I use 4 stroke valvoline ATV oil and have been getting it at walmart online. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Valvoline-4-Stroke-ATV-Conventional-10W-40-Motor-Oil-1-Quart/19514362 For seat covers, I would check amazon for a kemimoto cheap cover something like: Also on kemimoto:
  6. Yes they are, you need a scan tool sometimes with test features.
  7. Here is the closest:
  8. Could be the ECM, but hopefully not. There's some troubleshooting the dealer would do. You could refer to the manual and check the temp sensor resistance and output voltage. If you say all else is working, that may be the next step. Do you have the service manual? I just uploaded 2102-2014 which is the closest I could find:

  11. I think that's normal because when you unplug the sensor it causes and open and the fan defaults to turns on. If its plugged in and not turning on, my bet would be a faulty sensor or fan breaker.
  12. @Frank Angerano I'm happy to see you online and know that things are ok with you! Glad you like the pic, my wife makes these masks and that's the pic she took to use and sell them on etsy and her website: https://www.cristinacanvas.com/listing/821687721/camo-face-mask-for-men-camouflage I figured I'd use it as my profile pic. They're selling like hot cakes! I keep telling her its not the mask but the model behind the mask...lol Happy Father's Day!
  13. Good to hear! I merged this with your original topic. 😁
  14. So the coolant/temp sensor is unplugged your fan turns on? You have "unplugged" twice there, just trying to understand. Might be a bad sensor or relay.
  15. Is there a belt on the other side? My first thought is you got water in the belt housing (if there is one) and its slipping. If there is a belt housing, then there must be a drain plug somewhere also more than likely.
  16. Good Morning All! Happy Father's Day to all the dads. 85 degrees today in lower NY. First day of summer was yesterday, but for some reason always thought it was the 21st...lol.
  17. Happy Father's Day!
  18. @MarkinAR is right, here's the parts schematic from partzilla
  19. Have you tried partzilla or rockymountain?
  20. Kodiak is a great quad, I used to have a 450 myself. My first thought is that the battery is defective. Do you have a battery booster pack or 12v source to jump the battery when it happens to rule that out?
  21. Those quads use a 4WD actuator to engage/disengage. I would start by checking that out. When did it start happening, did something happen?
  22. If it only runs when you are adding a fuel source, you have a fuel issue. You mentioned a new carb, is it getting fuel?
  23. were you able to decode the vin?
  24. My bad...need to learn to read!
