  1. What do you mean by erratic? Sometime it engages and sometimes it doesn't?
  2. Welcome to QUADCRAZY!
  3. Isn't that kinda normal? What happens is that by pushing the break pedal, you are relieving tension on the handlebar brake cable. You could adjust it, usually right where the cable goes into the brake handle. Although some ATVs have brake hydraulics, I'm not sure with the Vinson. Maybe someone else in the community would know more.
  4. Tonight is the first presidential debate and it should be a record breaker for viewing. Might as well have a mini poll here on QUADCRAZY to see how they stack up. Make your choice in the poll and feel free to comment in this topic. I'm going to pin this topic and keep it going through the elections in November.
  5. Here's a photo from last year of my Yamaha Grizzly with it's snowsport plow.
  6. Took me a year to see these photos! I just chatted in another thread about these RZRs, I don't know how I missed these. MWKE, great toys you got there!

  8. I think its an electronic choke. I've seen some topics on this before.
  9. You must be a proud papa! Glad to hear you are doing good. I have two daughters, 8 and 2 and both look to be going into mom's way of "fashionista" and less of outdoors and atvs...lol. There's still time! Was thinking of picking up a small quad for my oldest. I have an 04 Grizzly 660 currently, use it mostly for plowing and around the yard, once in a while do a little riding. Need to do more! I'd love to get an RZR, post some pics when you get a chance.
  10. Moved topic to Polaris forum. It sounds to me like you have a wire that is not connected somewhere. You should start tracing the wiring from the battery.
  11. Here are a couple of other ATV VIN decoders: http://www.vin-decoder.org/atv-vin-decoder http://www.cyclepedia.com/motorcycle-vin-decoder/
  12. I've never used pentofrost in an ATV, but I imagine that it should be ok.
  13. What's up stranger! That's a great find and looks like its in great shape also. I remember you had a bunch of three wheelers and if I remember correctly, you also had a CAN AM spyder, right?
  14. Did you get this done? Anytime you change out motor mounts, the trick is access and supporting the engine and transmission.
  15. Sounds like you either need a new petcock valve or the carb float is stuck low and would require a rebuild.
  16. Have you checked the plug to see if its good?
  17. So if you connected a jumper pack and it cranks, your battery has issues. if it cranks and doesn't start, its either spark, air, or fuel. I would fix the no start/electric issue first by checking connections and ignition wiring to the key. After you fix that, dig into the no start by checking spark and fuel delivery.
  18. Good morning QUADCRAZY!
  19. Where you able to get this done? Sometimes a couple of whacks with a soft blow hammer will do the trick.
  20. They were a gift, but I think the tires are around $120 - $130 each. Good video below from Motorcycle Superstore on QB tires. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/66059/i/quadboss-qbt447-utility-front-rear-tire [ame] [/ame]
  21. Got a new set of QUADBOSS QBT447 Utility Tires w/Scoville Boss Wheels! This article is actually my machine, take a moment to read: QUADBOSS QBT447 Utility Tires w/Scoville Boss Wheels » QUADCRAZY ATV Articles Ill be sending more in for the write up as we go through the winter and I get her out on the trail.
  22. Just got a set of QUADBOSS of 14" QBT447 Utility Tires and a set of 14" QuadBoss Scoville Boss Wheels to mount them on, so that we could beef up the Yamaha Grizzly this winter and run a set of high performing utility tires in the mud & snow (We now need some snow in NY). 12" stock tires and rims came off the ATV and this new set of 14" tires and rims went on, and as you can see...it really gives the quad a great look and some additional ground clearance. Take a look at the before and after photo below story. Check out some of the additional photos below, we've got our QuadBoss Lounger Trunk which makes a great addition to the quad when hitting the trails. The tires grab very well and the quad feels so much more stable on the trail, for the first quick ride. More posts to come on this over the next few weeks and months as we take our ATV out in the woods for some riding! A few notes about QUADBOSS Scoville Boss Wheels: Built to handle offroad abuse and look awesome doing it. Radical new designs will take your ride to the next level. Ultra strong and super lightweight. Precision machined, aircraft-quality aluminum wheels offer superior performance. Gorgeous finish creates a real show stopper. All wheels come with trick custom center caps. Wheels are rated 573 lbs. to 727 lbs. A few notes about QUADBOSS QBT447 Tires: Tough 6-ply bias construction with 3/4-inch tread depth Wrap around lugs give extra sidewall protection and excellent bite for comering Directional tread pattern excels in loose to intermediate terrains Unique center treat pattern sheds mud but also provides smooth ride on hard pack Sculptured lugs provide additional traction Load rated for most ATVs and UTVs Make sure to visit www.quadboss.com for ATV parts and Accessories!
