    Welcome to QUADCRAZY, I moved your topic to the Polaris forum. That's interesting and they must have had reasons outside of cutting costs. Do the 2014-15 or 16 1/2 models fit the 2016 that you have? Are they expensive? Do you have a pic of what you made in the interim?

    So I was very confused about the differences between the 2016 Yamaha Grizzly and Kodiak ATVs, both come with a 700 cc engine and look similar. Found this video that tries to explain.

    2005 Suzuki King Quad
    This is a photo of my old 2005 Suzuki King Quad which I sold when I got married. Was a great ATV! Riding a yamaha grizzly these days.

    Seems that a lot of these links are no longer working. Some of them are but some like the gh-ftp are not. If you cant find what you need, my suggestion is to try on Amazon, and look for digital CD versions that seems to be much cheaper.

    That quad looks like it's in great shape! You should upload your picture to the gallery section http://www.quadcrazy.com/gallery/, we are trying to rebuild it so need some good photos!

    Black exhaust is a rich running condition, too much fuel usually. Something is up with that carb if your air isn't restricted.

    So it sounds like if you give it fuel it fires, but its not getting fuel from the carb? Check the lines, is fuel getting into the carb? Something has to be up with the carb fuel delivery or you have some kind of choke issue. * Moved to Honda Forum

    Lots of good points in this thread, glad to see and read some different points of view! It's definitely and interesting presidential election... I was upstate NY today driving around and saw lots of rural "farmy" areas, not one Clinton sign and about 5 "home made" Trump signs. I thought that was interesting, was going to take a picture. A little south where I am in NY, I would have to say it 4 signs (trump) to 1 (clinton) on the lawns. However, this is north of NYC where I think Hillary will get more votes to win the state.

    Maybe it's not getting enough fuel and the carb bowl is running dry? I've seen on older quads, the float pin gets corroded and the carb then needs a rebuild.
