  1. i would try to get it running fairly smooth first and see if you have the same problem with the forward motions. you could check the drive belt in the meantime and see if its worn and/or narrowed with wear. it seems the chinese brands electrical harness and components are not as reliable as the japanese. i would just try and get it running smooth and go from there, and yes, run the carb cleaner thru the carb and hopefully you won't need a rebuild kit or alot of heavy duty cleaning by dis-assembly ...
  2. it might help if not too far gone if that's what it is. you could need a drive belt too. there is an adjustment for the clutch on the throttle side of the bike on the motor/trans. it looks like a nut with a slotted screw thru the middle, not sure if its left or right to put more tension on it ... here is the service manual link .... https://www.yousendit.com/download/QlVnNHB5VnMxUUJOeDhUQw
  3. first page and follow the link. I'm on my phone so its too hard to give you a direct download. Let me know if you have any difficulties ...
  4. i don't think a voltage regulator would do this, but the stator produces the charge back to the battery and power to everything else. just my guess ....
  5. definately electrical, i'm thinking the stators pick up coil and/or stator too .... anyone else here ?
  6. great deal, if you can get a bike working like new under 1000 $'s, you done good !!! keep us updated on how it's going !!

  10. oh, and on the bottom bar (menu, online friends, status) click the status button and make sure it says you are online ... i was getting messages and couldn't respond before ....
  11. sometimes i get that too, i have to refresh the page or close it and try again. not sure but i think it has to do with my internet connection most times ....
  12. sometimes the belt will slip if it got wet too. most times if the belt is good, it will right itself. i would start there and see. easiest fix for sure ...
  13. check the drive belt to see if it's worn. there is also a clutch adjustment. on yamahas, it is on the throttle side of the bike, looks like a nut with a slotted screw in the middle of it. not sure on suzukis, but it will be on the side of the motor/trans ...
  14. good to hear mario !! :cheers2c:
  15. hello and welcome to QC !!! in the yamaha forum there is a thread, yamaha atv manuals, post #3 you can download the service manual. 27" tires would probably be the tallest you could get away with without a lift. the carb rebuild kits are available through moose racing. if you go into ebay and search and find something close ('93), email the seller and they can fix you up ...
  16. hahaha awesome !!!
  17. thanks, i like to take pics and i know the 'money' shots. i could probably make anything look good except myself not very photogenic
  18. we always sat and had a beer at the fences at the airport. depending on the wind, they would either land or take off from that side. it's a busy little airport for its size ... heard they want international status now too, which would make it much larger ...
  19. for me where i am, it is very sandy and fine fine dust. the atv shops won't sell you a k & n system. the particles will blow by the filters and prechargers. i have only used the foam filters that i oil up myself. in ontario i used a k & n on my hondas with no prechargers and worked very well ...
  20. post # 3 in this thread for service manual and post # 5 for owners manual ......
