  7. Duh I forgot why Im also partial to Warn. I have a Warn Recovery winch on the back of my welding truck. I use it to pull steel thats been bent. Dont need a come a long. I have replaced the contactor a few times but i think its cause i went past the duty cycle. It came with the truck wasnt my choice. Im gunna say as long as you stay with a name brand its fine. Sure sh** happens . Products do get made on fridays at 5:00. If its unknown quality your setting yourself up for disaster 60 miles from civilization Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  8. Nice!! Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  9. I agree with what your saying but i am only going by weight. That was my only deciding factor. The warn xt15 is also intermittent use. You cant pull a bike out at once you have to wait. Price for weight savings i guess Like you said there is a fine line with the assembled or made in USA. Sucks to admit Made in Japan is quite good.. But lately even Japanese products are being outsourced to singapore and india etc. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  10. Im partial to warn because thats what my father used since the 70s. We have never been stranded by a Warn...ever. Warn also is the only company to make the super light sport quad winch. Its only 8 pounds with a synthetic line. Yes its only 1500 pounds but I wont need any more than that pulling out my 375# atv. Just as a side note Ramsey does have some China parts to it. 12. I have full power internet etc. No gas though... A quarter of the island still has no power. Except for the Rockaways and Lindenhurst and surrounding areas who were underwater, the rest of us are inconvienienced.... To a point, alot have little kids and no heat. This was a pretty bad storm. I think because of the sensationalizing of the past storms making mountains out of mole hills.. The east coast shrugged this storm off and wasnt prepared Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2

  14. I am about a mile and a half from the ocean but we didnt flood badly. About 20 min west of me the whole south shore was underwater... About 8 ft. I had to drain alot of diesel tanks and hydraulic tanks because they were filled with water. There were boats in parking lots and some inside buildings. The tree photo was the next block over from me. Thats the worst we got in my neighborhood. Alot of uprooted trees on houses. As im writing this about 500,000 on LI still have no power and gas lines are in the mile range now. 35% of the stations have gas. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  15. My old lady has a monster engine now so even though its 9 years old it will be mine for a while Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2

  20. Im sure kero or diesel would be fine just remove the rubber gaskets first. Not sure if it matters but better be safe. As for the rubbing rear disks check to make sure the caliper slides arent gunked up. Also put the rear tires off the ground and shake the axle left and right. Any play means axle bearings are shot. Lastly if you can take off the brake rotor and lay it on a flat surface. Any place its not touching means a warped rotor Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  21. As of now most gas stations are out of gas. Those that arent have lines up to a half mile now according to the news. Both ports are open now so barges can unload. Problem is refineries are flooded still Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  22. Got power... Gas stations lines are quite long some reaching 1/8th mile... Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  23. South shore of LI got hit bad. We made it through ok and we are still out of power but Im using my Miller welding machine to power a couple of houses. Alot of downed trees. As of now LI have 800,000 without power. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  24. Also might be burning off but not noticable coming out the exhaust. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
  25. Did you machine the cylinder sleeve when you changed the rings? If not the rings might not of seated correctly possibly leading to oil slipping past the rings and being burned. Im not familiar with this atv but i would assume its water cooled. Maybe you have a bad head gasket too Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
