is it that the rear of the quad wants to kick out or does the whole quad try to spin? If its just the rear your probably just over powering the front. is its the whole quad it might be something out of whack maybe even a bent suspension part or frame. when you ride the sand how are you positioned on the bike?

Thats what I am hoping to get out of this. I felt as I lost control. I do meet ALOT of Alabama workers up here for the Hurricane Sandy clean up. Yeah still going on. I am repairing alot of their trucks as the NYDOT is putting these trucks out of service. These Alabama natives all still keep on trucking and hold their head high. Very pleasant to talk to. Most of em say that a NY worker is highly prized down there. We shall see!

sounds like a rejet is in order. Ive heard nothing but good things about the dial-a-jet. I plan on one cause I went back to an open airbox but still like the option of closing it up when I go through deep water.

I dont see it as a down grade but now I wont have to maintain a certain level of income just to break even. Latest update: We tried everything in our power to stay on LI and keep our house. I was even working full time and running the welding business at night /weekends. Prices just got too high work slowed down to a crawl. We have finally made a purchase in Hazel Green, Alabama. Its a small fixer upper house but with 3 acres of land. Prices seem alot cheaper and its not heavily taxed....plus no more blizzards (giggity). We should be moving between March - April. Anyone from the Tennessee / Alabama border???

My two cents.. If your gunna use the oil in your 400ex, use 15w-40 Rotella-T diesel oil. I use it in mine, was recommended by my engine builder and is alot cheaper than synthetic. My oil temps are the same too. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2

Agreed ^ check the side play of the rear carrier also just spin the rear tires too. Any unusual play or noises might mean its time to replace bearings. Get a new front sprocket, rear sprocket and new chain so they can all wear together which makes em last longer. Make sure your chain slack is adjusted properly. You might of been on the tight side. When i ride at F1 mx track on LI I can't go for more than 3-4 laps without a break. Each lap is about 2 minutes. Lots of gatorade. The more you ride there the easier it will be.
