  2. nice woopsie do in the beginning.. great video!
  3. if you can find the switch pull the wire off it and try to start if nothing try grounding it to the frame and try to start it
  4. What was the pc calibrated for? Stock? If so it might need a new map as those add ons might go beyond the pc capabilities. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  5. Easy power adders are a Curtis sparks advance kit, a 250xr dirtbike ignition module (thanks oxy!) uni filter, slipon exhaust choke delete and parking brake delete. These are cheap easy add ons and will wake up the ex without taking apart the motor Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  6. I bought mine from an atv dealer in NY and they where only $70 per tire mounted. Thats NY dealer prices so im sure you can get em cheaper elsewhere
  7. Not a popular tire but its cheap enough that if you dont like em you can swap em for another more expensive set. CST is the parent company of Maxxis i believe Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  8. Glad you still have the 400ex. Its a dying breed in a land of 450s :-) Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  9. There is a honda aircooled dirtbike motor that is either 600 or 650cc (dont quite remember) that will fit into the 400ex chasis with a slight amount of modification. That is my next project. I will let you know which dirtbike it is when i find it Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  10. I use CST Lumberjacks on the rear of my ex (22x11x9) and I can keep up with most 4x4s except for the real nasty stuff. The lumberjacks are cheap but are only 2 ply. I havent had any punctures yet and going on a year with them. I ride on asphalt alot and still have decent tread left Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  11. I dont recommend the shaved look but I think switching to newer plastics and looks better shaved than the 99-04 Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  12. It will take alot of parts to swap out an air cooled motor for a water cooled. I run a 500cc 400ex and it will take on alot of 450s and beat most. If you want a 450 buy that chasis. The plastics will fit with a homemade bracket in front. When you mount em you will see where it goes its real easy Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  13. Also remove and sandpaper every ground wire attached to the frame.
  14. Maybe each lead is a direction and mounting the unit to a metal frame grounds it out? real strange there is no freespool lever
  15. Great site im gunna check out each link in more depth tonight Thanks Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  16. Anything aircooled will last a long time Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  17. maybe its time for an oil change. try using rotella t 15w-40 diesel oil. it works great on semi automatic transmissions and helps improve shifting. I run it in my quad and it shifts much better than using honda oil
  18. try a little starting fluid. if it starts it might be a fuel problem. if not it might be a spark or mechanical problem (valves or rings)
  19. Im jealous! Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  20. Someone installed a diesel motor on your quad Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  21. Thanks....that was one of the hardest parts to do was leave family.. second was disolving my welding business... Now its time to start fresh with new adventures ahead and hopefully more commitment to riding Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
  22. Thanks ill take a look Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2
