2012 Polaris Sportsman - Diff Seal Change
marioweldinginc replied to MystikFix's topic in Polaris ATV Forum
Never did one of those but I know when working on hydraulic pistons, sometimes the roll pin comes out in one direction only. Sort of like a tapered pin. Also you might just have to give it a little more umpff. Do you have a shop manual?- 3 replies

Did you buy it or you have a question about it?

Did you try bypassing the solenoid? put 12v from the battery directly to the starter. If it wont try to engage its probably a bad starter. If nothing do a amp test on the battery and check any components in between the battery and the starter (including the start button! Might be gummed up with oxide) Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2

On a 400ex it might mean your rear carrier bearings are shot. Lift the rear off the ground and wiggle / spin the axle. Any sort of play or noise means you might need new bearings. Also check to make sure the axle lock nut is tight. Its in between the brake rotor and axle carrier Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2

Sounds wicked. Why the start button under the fender. Makes a clean install or is it a safety reason? Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2

Nightmare on the Burma Mountain PA

JYeah alot of Tri-State Trail Riders and Black Rock Trail Riders are posting on the FB forums about the Game Commision heavily fining atv riders as soon as they cross over onto state land from RAC land. Even though these guys all have RAC permits. Stay away from trails that cross near or over the railroad tracks as those are heavily patrolled now. On a brighter note check out AOAA. They are building a atv trail system in the area and should be completed this year. anthraciteadventure.com ....please support this if you can Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent BlueTapatalk 2 -
