I had motorcycles growing up it started with a sears mini bike to a Honda mini trail 50, 1973 honda sl70, cr125, then in 1979 I got an XL175 to ride to school & play in the dirt. In 84 a Yamaha street bike. Then I went from about 86 till now without anything. I as well went and looked at a built Mustang & walked away knowing I would just get in trouble with it. So first I got my wife to agree to get my daughter a quad so she has an eton 90 2 stroke. Then I talked my wife into us going to look at one for me to be able to ride with my daughter. I seen a quad I wanted but she didn't want to spend the money on it so I started lookig at bikes while I was checking out the bikes she was talking to the guy who had them for sale she turned to me and said your not getting a bike. Next thing I knew the seller was getting the key for her to the quad I wanted(she loves me so much). So my first quad came home with us that day. So I'm back in the game of having a big boy toy. 02 prairie 650. Why start small and in a few months wish u had gotten a bigger quad. Start big and grow into it.

I first stared out on a 1986 Polaris 250 trailboss i got for christmas when i was 14. It was a piece of shit , i pushed it home more than than i rode it. but it was something to ride. Then my dad found a good deal on a 1999 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 for a $1000. I think it was only 3 years old when we bought it. I could take that thing up any hill i wanted too. Then in 2005 i bought a 2001 Warrior with my own money. Rode it everywhere but then learned the hard way to always check the oil. I was riding down the rode and the engine seized up totally . Had it rebuilt twice never ran good since. Then in 2007 i bought my Raptor 700 and things have never been the same since. Its the best quad money can buy.

My husband and I went to his niece's farm for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. She had a bunch so we went out riding before dinner. We stayed all weekend and rode every day and night. At the end of the weekend, I rolled her friend's Can Am 500, wound up lying in a huge stinky mulch pile with the damn thing on top of me. My leg was pretty messed up, but we went home and bought a couple of Polaris Sportsman the next day. We've ridden almost every weekend since.

1994 I met my husband and he asked me out for a first date. I only agreed to go out with him because I knew he had a 1992 Honda 250 fourtrax racing ATV. My parents never let me ride a motorcycle or ATV ever so this was my chance. I was 18 years old at the time & figured they wouldn't say too much about it. I got to ride it on our first date & I immediately fell in love with the sport. Now as for my husband it took a few dates to realize he was worth hanging onto!

We are a very happy ATV family! I thank God for that everyday. But if God is taking some extra requests...Lord, can I get another sport quad so the whole family can ride together? We have a 400EX we share but it currently has a hole in the case (my winter project...yes mine), & 2 youth quads. We put pretty much all our extra money into the kido for racing. THANKS @THECLAW

When I was 15 years old a buddy of mine had a quad and we would ride it on the wooded trails behind our houses all thru high school. I moved to the city for several years for a good job but still didn't have a quad. Found a better job in New Hampshire a few years ago and moved up there. A friend at work had a couple quads and one day we went out riding. Got hooked again, bought my own a few months later and i've been riding ever since!

My father bought a slightly used 85 Yamaha Moto4 200 in 1985. Never saw an atv before but had a blast of hanging on to dad while driving around upstate NY. For my birhday in 1986 I received an '86 Yamaha moto4 200 in a shipping crate. I think it was just an excuse for him to buy the second one. My father and I put the atv together. I rode it till the mid 2000s whenever i was upstate. Both atvs are still running but need a little tlc. I pretty much stopped riding after that.

2010 rolls around and my wife doesnt want my race car in the driveway. She said to me "hey watch this episode of a mew show called Storage Wars they have an atv on it". I was reluctant to watch but did. They found a LT500R -Quadzilla. Ok so a flame was ignited. I kicked the race car to the curb and the next week my neighbor asked me if I knew anyone who wanted a 400ex. Again I know nothing about atvs at this point so I said let me see what her husband had. A 2003 400EX. I was in love. Did I mention I never used a clutch on a atv before? I hand him 1500 and take off around the storage unit. I was hooked into atvs like never before. Now on Long Island there really isnt any riding areas that are legal. A few small tracks thats it. I found a place in PA called RAC. Met a quite a few great guys who ride and ben riding there these last few years.

Now I live in Alabama and trying to find new riders and places to ride. Its slowly going but not enough to feed my atv addiction.

I needed something a little better to get into the woods and general yard work that my riding mower. I bought my wife a utility quad and I got a sport quad for myself. We have since both upgraded to larger bikes and just last weekend went to the Hatfield McCoy trails for a mini vacation. Should have done it long ago......

my wife and I sold our home in a suburb, moved to the great north of Wisconsin where trails are plentiful to ride on. We test drove everything before getting our Can Am's.

We will trail ride, spin through logging trails, and use them for yard work as well.

So far, being our first year, we've had a ton of fun with them.

posted a while back - it was running at one point - I have all the plastic shroud off - it's down to frame and engine now
-fuel pump: when line from petcock is attached, no fuel comes out other side to carb; the line to the carb is open (can blow through it); I thought when I cranked engine that the pump would spit out fuel on other side but it does not; I removed fuel pump and opened it up - diaphragm looks good - but internal areas had lotsa calcification build up - I cleaned this out and dried it good - the clear plastic pieces (?diaphragms) aren't broken - the spring w/ steel ball on end moves freely; am putting it back on tomorrow; but can anyone answer about the pump? isn't it supposed to pump fuel through it... to other side... to carb? puzzling
-along with fuel pump: I replaced petcock 3 weeks ago (gas tank had rusty fuel in bottom - cleaned it out prior to new petcock); when I turn petcock arrow NOT to on or reserve, fuel comes out of line; when I turn it to on or reserve, fuel doesn't come out; puzzling
-I don't know what's on back of fuel pump - it's a valve that has a hose coming out of it - looks like it goes to engine/carb - I haven't traced this out yet - what is it?
-can squirt gas on air filter and engine will run for 2-3 seconds then stop - fuel in top of carb (under diaphragm) does same
-it likely needs carb rebuild - will get to this - but something isn't allowing fuel to get from fuel pump to carb
-I THINK it has a mikuni model x carb - diaphragm is ID 26mm  OD 68mm - hard to find inexpensive diaphragm, I guess because it's a model x
-last thing - I replaced solenoid due to old one clicking; I HAVE to be charging the battery or it won't start/turn over - battery just goes dead; but if charging, it'll turn over nicely; i'm guessing it's a bad battery
-any help appreciated - I've never owned an ATV before - inherited this beast from grandparent in-law

Hi guys I'm in the market for a new ATV.  I narrowed my choices down to King quad 750 Grizzly 700 and Rubicon 520,  I own a 2006 500 Rubicon right now and I like the reliability and power for plowing.  However it is not a capable ATV.  When quading with other guys it falls short with ride quality and ground clearance.   I also have a 500 King Quad 2015 which I like and will keep it for my wife.  It is very strong and reliable also.  However my plan is to sell my Honda Rubicon and replace it with a 2020 of one of the these mentioned above.  Can anyone give me their take on one or all of these machines and why you picked what you picked?

My four wheeler when i first got it seemed like it was very slow when i first got it and it had no throttle response so i replaced the belt and cleaned all of the rollers thinking that would solve the problem from what i read on the forums. well it turned out that it wasnt. so i went to the next thing i took out the injector to check it out and i seen that there was a tiny bit of debree in it so i cleaned it and it seemed to improve a little bit. but still did not solve the problem. i later found out how to find the trouble codes out from the lcd screen using a paper clip on the diagnostic port and it showed the code which stood for no codes C00. i also forgot to mention that the throttle position censor is working perfect. before i started all of this the four wheeler ran just not to its potential. after my friend and i did the trouble code test the bike wouldnt even start anymore and the injector would spray for a few seconds for the start up then it stops and the fuel injection light comes on and blinks. the four wheeler wouldnt start anymore. i took it over to the local shop and they hooked it up to the computer to see if there was any codes and it still showed it was free of codes. they hooked it up to the fuel pressure gauge and we found that it was making 22 pounds and it should be making around 43. i then bought a new fuel pump and put it in. it now starts and runs for a few seconds and then it stalls out and the fuel injection light comes on again. which then leads me to think it is the ecu now but i want to be sure before i invest around $500 more into it. any opinions on whether or not anyone thinks this is the problem or if they have had a similar problem before would be really appreciated. sorry for writing a novel and not spelling very well. also i forgot to put the year in the title it is a 2007
