  1. So i tricked out my daughters dresser! Ordered lights from Amazon!
  2. Sounds like the starter clutch went. Listen brother I'm sure your more then capable to fix this machine but your probably doing more harm then good by not listening to what we are telling you. The trick here was to pull the plugs and crank the engine to see if the starter worked. If it did turn with the starter button then it would tell you if the decompression device is failing. If you keep trying to crank the engine and think its magically going to fix itself its not. Im not going to say for sure the high compression broke the starter clutch but its possible. I also am telling you that testing leads to results, its a process of elimination thing. Please don't take this the wrong way but i am calling it like it is. You haven't posted one answer to what we suggest to do here. If you did try any those things we would not know based on your responses.
  3. The $50 carb os prob a Chinese carb ? If so don't waste ur money. It will give you a headache. A cable is locatable its just going to take a little time.
  4. Pace urself. Theres plenty of time to fix things with this sh** going on in the 🌎!
  5. Man I love big projects ! Welcome to Quadcrazy. I would make a list and tackle it item by item. I will check with a few local people that have atv scrap yards and see what they have. Service manual can be downloaded after 10 or more contributing posts within the forum or being a paid member.
  6. Ok definitely try getting all wheels off of the ground and see what happens as far as going into gear. Also see what happens when you go into 2x4 as well. Double check your brakes aren't locked up. Last thing I would check are your differential drives. Open the fill plug and feel around for any damaged gears. Don't move wheels while your fingers are feeling around in there. You may have blown a differential.
  7. Well it has to be on that run of wire. Trace it back to the source. The two wires coming off the kill switch.
  8. Hey @Timothy Doerr, Jr welcome to Quadcrazy. How did you test the stator if i may ask? Reason im asking is i had a bear tracker and did some testing as well. Just want to make sure your on the right path.
  9. I like the Alterria for two reasons! 1 sharp looking. 2 has not been touched mechanically.
  10. I have to look but have you identified the screw in that drilled hole and adjusted that screw ?
  11. Im not seeing anything wrong. Post some some pics and we will explain what's whats what. Have you looked in that hole thats drilled??????
  12. It's probably inside the handlebar control. Philips screwdriver, open the control and test the two wires for continuity.
  13. EoNo if its coming from the gasket at the valve cover then you have to listen to me and @MarkinAR. Pull the valve cover and add the silicone on both sides of the gasket. If its coming from the head gasket you would not get a good compression reading like your saying.
  14. That is correct and although not really a good job its ok. A bigger drill bit i would have used. Anyway under that brass cap is your air fuel screw.
  15. Depends on the year. Top of the engine and they look like the pics attached. Should be two of them.
  16. What year is it ?
  17. I remember that one @MarkinAR. That sucked!! My bayou 220 had the same problem as the one on this topic. I just pulled the valve cover and caps, added silicone and i was good to go. Quality gaskets are key in any rebuild!
  18. Pull the valve cover off and wipe everything down so there is no oil, apply high heat silicone on both sides of the gasket. Put it all back together and tighten the bolts down in a crisscross pattern and let it dry good. No clamps or anything. If rings are bad you would be blowing bluish smoke. Same for valve seals.
  19. You could technically pull the spark plug wire off and crank the engine and spray the head down with windex to see if your getting bubbles or any substantial pressure out of any place but I don't think thats going to show much because its prob a low pressure leak. The crank case has a breather hose, have you checked that it's properly venting and not kinked or clogged? The only other way i have ever traced an oil leak that I could not see was using graphite or talcum powder. I literally squeezed the tube in the area of the smoke. The powder sticks to the oil showing a trail. Now, aside from and before you do all this you can simply pull the valve cover off, apply a coat of high heat silicone on both sides of the gasket and re install and see if the problem stops. If so its a warped valve cover. Let it dry 12 hours !
  20. Hey @Jonathan Barboza Start a new topic in the forum so it's easier to track your problem and responses. Right side top drop menu and click on forum. Make, year and model and what the problem is and we will see if we can help you along.
  21. Welcome to Quadcrazy. The top of the head has two valve adjustment caps. Have you checked them? They have small rubber rings underneath them they get flattened out and go bad. I would check them clean them off good put some silicone on them leave the gasket in place and bolt them back down. When you rebuilt the engine im assuming you changed the valve stem seals ? Lastly is the valve cover itself. Have you checked it for any warps or dents where the gasket is not sealing the gap? This can be done by pulling the valve cover off and placing it on a flat surface and slide a piece of paper around the edges to see if it slips under the cover at any point.
  22. Lol I bet. I was wondering about clearance and never even thought about the gear ratio.
  23. Hey @Ryan Hutton welcome to Quadcrazy. So you have the belt housing off, is the belt tight or loose? Can you get all four wheels off of the ground and see if it will run and and go onto gear? Not sure on your atv but is it full time 4x4 or do you have the selector?
  24. My kinda trails! Great video....
