  1. I can say it hehe, it's Castrol super clean, purple bottle. It is often described as a form of Simple Green, but don't be confused- the super clean will raise heck with finishes but Simple Green will not.
  2. check it while running and see if it isn't the shift shaft leaking, i.e., leaking around the shaft that comes thru the case and holds the shifter. It is far more common to have a seal lleak under pressure than a gasket, though it is possible. that would be an easy fix too. a gasket under pressure could be in there pretty deep I'm afraid....let us know OK?
  3. let's see, I have a couple thousand posts on ATV Connection, cool, huge place but the mods seem to ignore everything. A couple thousand posts on Bluetraxx, yammies only, I should spend more time there. ATV Source is nice and growing, and one more I promised Buck Billy I wouldn't mention, but I agree with fox300exchic:no:
  4. tough terrain and sharp volcanic rocks here. Got 2 flats on the stock Dunlop raptor tires in ONE day! The next weekend it was running on holeshort XCTs with Douglas .250 rims. No more flats going on 4 years now, and they still look good and grip well. RMATV of course!
  5. I use a pair similar to that only Audiovox. They came with earbud/boom mics that fit in the helmet just fine. they have a VOX feature too with a CALL tone if needed. works fine, got 'em at a discount store. Summertime the radio clips on pants, winter it goes into a jacket pocket. no complaints...
  6. No, not me at least. there is a guy back east who makes the complete kit but I could never make myself part with the cash. It is quite spendy...Keep the pads sanded or even try a different brand- that'll help some. I used the front brakes a lot too, they work fairly well.
  7. Summer: Thor jersey, Yamaha team pants, helmet, goggles, gloves, FRS radio and earplug/boom mic and helmetcam and pack. WINTER:oh boy! 2pc snowmobile suit, electric socks, snowmobile boots, balaclava, huge Cabela's gloves, helmet and goggles, FRS radio with boom mic and ear bud and helmetcam with pack. I need to have someone help me put all that stuff on!! I feel like an astronaut when I'm done, but can quickly go to -20f so need to be prepared! :alien:
  8. MWKE: Let us know how that new cam goes- I wouldn't be above buying a new one if it comes highly recommended...
  9. IF you are carrying a lot of weight I would buy the stouter springs. Any company that makes/sells snowplows should have springs available. It pays to shop around! What does RockyMountainATV say? I would go there first. I always talk to Debbie. New springs are really your only solution: expect it to ride stiffer when empty but it should not be a major problem.... Let us know how it goes!:partyc:
  10. VERVE must not live very far from me....We are on the eastern slope of the Cascades here so I can ride into the National Forest from my garage. It's the perfect place to test bikes and quads I have worked on! Hardly a day goes by here that I don't hear at least a few motorcycles echoing thru the trees after school's out.... The national forest runs about 300 miles north to south and 50 miles east - and then it is all prairie and desert all the way to Boise Idaho and beyond. [a little over 300 miles]. Nearby is the East Fort Rock Recreation area, the largest USFS developed riding area in the USA. with 110,000 acres and 318 miles of riding trails. I'll put a link in here so you can see how we have developed [the clubs play a big part] the Central/Eastern Oregon area. WOW what a great way to relax! Welcome to COHVOPS you'll like this! it's how we have chosen to do it. some california transplants moving in trying to tell us mountain fools how to protect the land! what a joke! Here it is known as californication. They're not getting much to be sure hahaha:wink:
  11. I will do that, thank you! 'having a little trouble navigating still...
  12. Don't feel bad, SCRider, I'm getting used to this format as well.! I didn't know either. Too bad it was removed cuz it sounded like a good idea, oh well.... Please excuse me, I'm a noob here and still learning. Is there a place where we can describe our favorite riding areas with visual aids? that would be cool., but large, that is why I ask. Also, how do I make people who want to be my friends my friends? this is confusing and there are no instructions that I have found..... I did my best to defuse THAT loaded question LOL you guys are gonna jump on that stuff no matter how hard I try hahaha.. Thank you in advance!
  13. We're there now! ..in the land where the mountains go BOOM!!
  14. if you count used, my atc90 may take the prize! will have pictures on tomorrow...been in a barn for ?? years [it was born in 1969] painted lite blue, including the seat! By the texture I would say they used a BROOM hehe. parts missing, etc, it's a real gem right now. For new only I'd agree with the 700xx.
  15. HAHAHAHAHA nice, nice one bot! Trailblazer I justmay take you up on that! thanks:skeptic:
  16. 92 in some places! no kiddin! Welcome to COHVOPS not sure this has the coastal areas in it.....but it has everything else. use OHV Links to Oregon State riding areas.
  17. 92? wow! you have lots of fun ahead of you! =================== I'll take some trike pics tomorrow...the ones I have are too big to fit in here...
  18. well, it's a long way away at 12 mpg. plus I had surgery last week which puts me down for at least one month, maybe 2. we'll see how it goes... I'm gonna have to put the stock pipe back on the 660.
  19. Oh I rem z50s, I know where there is a running one right now. you'll have to write down your question for now, it's time for my mid-morning nap LOL. I will catch you later.
  20. the bot is just a puppy haha but that's cool, cuz I'm gonna ask him questions when my memory goes LOL so ya better do some asking now right??
  21. I just now logged in dude, anything weird? wow you have some serious wheelers. that yammer is a rare one- I know where there is one in springfield OR but have not heard from my spy if he wants to get rid of it. has been ignored for years am told. I need a headlight for my 110 exactly like on your 200, need a h/l switch too, if you have them hanging around. If, not I'll ebay them no problem. have a few friends there now hahaha. WOW what a collection. I bot mine to restore and sell no less. I know there's some kids out there who would be forever changed if their parents got them these rigs.
  22. SBot, you are absolutely right and here's proof: my raptor is a 2001, has many miles but gets cleaned and checked after:aargh: every time. it's been seven years, my chain and sprockets look like brand NEW. My kid does not have my maintenance habits and is ready to buy a thirdset of sprockets and chain. smart guy. Hey it only takes a minute, and if you ever have to walk because of a failed chain you will know LOL.
  23. make a habit of checkin it after you wash it or while it's warming up. It needs to be in neutral and rolling back and forth. DRY will actually make them shorter or tighter! I have seen some SO tight it took 2 ppl to push it, and of course, he wanted it serviced under warranty! Well, welcome to the world of Honda heh heh. Need I say he was disappointed? LOL Keep it lubed and keep it tensioned right and you'll be OK. Just don't forget it cuz it will come back to bite you and it can get spendy when it snaps a case! OUCH!
  24. outlander: the mods on the afan dont have ANY authority at all, and everyone knows it, so naturally they get static from everyone. I just stopped posting there- it'll prob take em a year to notice, then I might want to visit once in a while, but their plan was to eliminate mods altogether and do it electronically [?] I never did figure that out. we were going great guns last year and they started having these 'brilliant ideas' well I guess we shall see. You can only ask so much of someone doing stuff for free. It got more and more illogical and Doctor finally said 'sell the computers' well that wont happen so I have to eliminate stress. It's working> I actually look forward to coming on THIS site. Thanks guys!
