I am surprised at how much the steering stabilizers have come down in price! 3-4 years ago it was common to handover $400 for one. At $140, I might even consider the swearing and bleeding involved to get that old PEP stabilizer out of there and replace with one of these....with the PEP the raptor's oil tank was a problem too- this looks like a very similar design...adjustable too eh? nice! $500 for shox? OUCH. like goin to the doctor....I guess it could be worse. I'll pass on those- I don't ride like that anymore. I like mine to feel like a nice, comfy sofa LOL. I don't want to date myself but the first aftermarket shox I bought Charlie Curnutt built in his garage while I stood there and watched. Took about 15 minutes. $70 for the pair...for my 'desert deek' a 125 DKW. Let's just say they would be 'antiques' now.....

My pleasure. I bought one of these new and hopped it up with a toomey B1 kit. plus i've worked on LOTS of em hehe. witht he right jetting you can really make these scream! I had to modify that post cuz I was looking right at it and described the wrong one! oh no! It is correct now, please reread it. I remember distinctly that the oil line had a cast barb on the nipple! ew!

the bowl drain screw is right next to the drain hose on the LH side. see it? mixture can make it bog. are you mixing fuel and oil or using the pump and the tank? try a new spark plug. hey looking at your carb pics, your oil injection port is open to the atmosphere! there's a lean vacuum leak problem! get a little block off nipple from an auto parts store and slide it on there! It's on the RH side, towards the front, it is the larger of the two, above that big plug but below the little brass plug. This carb is used on many bikes n stuff that's why it has so many blanks cast into it. It's not a BIG leak, but it's a leak.....that's where your injector pump pushes oil into the engine. Did you change your main jet when you installed the pipe? you might look at that too. loosen the mounting clamp to the intake and rotate the carb so you can get the bowl off. the main jet is in a little holder up inside the bowl. it has a number on it. let us know what that number is OK? watch the color of your spark plug- if it is light brown, then this may be unnecessary. If not, maybe we should look at it.

I thot I was doing the right thing. wrongo dumbass! IN Court, they made me the bad guy with my own voice. It was devastating. and expensive. Second time cost me $10,000 cuz I talked to cops. This one WAS my fault but my impact was with a 16' pine tree and a guy's front door, where we landed. ALLSTATE may they rot in HELL threw me under the bus. I had them for 11 years. DO NOT TALK TO THE POLICE!!!!!!! it would have saved me enough to buy a HOUSE!!! talking to them will NOT help you! "yes he was cooperative" is not gonna help. Being a retired firefighter I thot what???? but he's RIGHT. there is nothing you can say to a cop that will help you prove your innocence. the experienced bald guy has spoken. PLEASE keep your teeth together! it's tuff, remember this! so you don't have to repeat it. I thot the video was great.makes me want to go back to school. JMHO

well said, we have our share of those pin.heads here as well. They just kicked us out of a riding area because of 'it's unique terrain, vegetation and other unique aspects.' Yeah it's UNIQUE all right: It was a BOMBING RANGE during world war 2 ! Those are commonly called BOMB craters and there is no unique wildlife or flora to be found there...There are a few old cars out there with about a billion bulletholes each.... They're just being selfish and don't want to share. They even tried to blame garbage out there on us. Now I've been riding 40 years and never ONCE have I carried KFC and cans of Pepsi on a dirt bike or a quad! That's not US, that's them. We routinely bring garbage home [someone else's] but the idiotsticks always try and blame us. I don't get the newspaper anymore- it just winds me up like a cheap watch.... NOW they wanna designate it a wilderness area and I bet they'll get it with so many pin.heads in DC.

EBC is a good choice for most rides, tho there are some exceptions out there. Kodiaks will squeak, for instance, unless you use factory pads! Same with a LOT of the Hondas. It has something to do with the pad material. All you can do is try them and see. If mine starts to squeak I just pop em out and sand them with fine sandpaper, rotor too.

OK if you can't turn the axle by hand then you have found it. Get it fixed QUICK before you ruin a clutch or worse!!! Sounds like at least one bearing committed suicide, so you wanna get that apart right away! You don't want busted parts floating around in there- if it locks up, it could pitch you into or OVER the bars = NOT GOOD. Hopefully your chain is OK but you may need a new one as well [stretched] if you don't replace it it will ruin your sprockets, then you gotta buy the whole shebang all over again. Get the Manual! you'll need it. sorry about your luck! If you don't have a grease zerk on the swingarm [they are typically underneath on those] I have seen instructions on how/where to install one- a GOOD idea . I'll try and find that post for you. go factory if you can of course, and a major brand name if they want too much gold.... you shouldn't have any problems- those are really easy. just bleed off the pressure and push the piston back in. There are many tools available to do this if needed or you can make your own. I use welding visegrips and they work fine. Any problems let us know! Don't forget to top off the master cylinder when you are done!!!! clean, new DOT3/4 fluid [whatever it says on the cover.]

to me a full faced helmet is a street helmet, not an MX helmet, am I wrong here? Anyway I have both and usually wear the MX helmet since my video camera is mounted to it. plus the GMRS radio is wired in as well hehe. I DO also own a 'dale earnhardt my hero died in one like this' helmet even tho the helmet did not contirbute to his demise.....I havent watched a NASCAR race since then, the fun just left.....another thread perhaps!
