  1. I have a Yamaha Rhino and am looking to buy a winch, it will be used mostly for plowing to lift and lower the blade and on occasion if i get stuck, I have looked at the Warn and know they are a good winch but they are so expensive is there any other winch out there that will compete with the Warn but at a more reasonable price?
  2. EBC and Tusk are both great aftermarket clutches and you wont find a better price then the tusk you can check themout here.ATV Parts, ATV Tires, Dirt Bike Parts & Motocross Gear | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC
  3. I have a 2008 Teryx and it has been great the only complaint I have is the engine or transmission noise inside the cab, it is a loud wine and has been this way ever sense I bought it any suggestions or products that may help quite this noise down a little??
  4. FMF makes a good exhaust for the TRX 90 my friend bought his son one from Rocky Mountain ATV for i think around $200.00 but it has held up great, as far as exhaust cracking or breaking this usually happens because of in proper maintenance the the muffler is never re packed if you do the proper maintenance the FMF should defiantly last awhile.
  5. I would go with the Z400 they are a very good machine and reliable, the 04 model still had the front shocks without the reservoir the newer models have better suspension, When you go to look at this i would check the frame if it has been rode hard enough and jumped a lot it is very possible there are some cracks starting, look by the upper and lower shock mounts and also under the seat by the cross bar that mounts to the top of the motor if you find nothing i would say take it home!!
  6. I would defiantly go with the King Quad I think you will defiantly be happy with that choice
  7. You should be able to use the same frame i believe the main changes from the 03-06 was the front shocks and the way you tighten the chain, I had a 2003 and the frame was still junk i would recommend buying a gusset kit and welding it in before you put the quad together this will fix your frame problem.
  8. I agree sounds like a bad battery a easy way to check is hook a battery charger up to it and see if it works then and if it does you know you need to purchse a battery, Rocky mountain ATV has a motorpower for pretty cheap I just had to buy one from there for my KFX450.
  9. I also found a manuel for my 2003 KFX400 at Rockymountainatv.com it was in stock and had it in just a couple days.
  10. I would start with pulling the carb back off and tearing into it and checking that your jets are clean. Maybe even getting a carburetor rebuild kit, they seem to be pretty cheap. Here is a good carburetor kit that I have found
  11. Make sure when you do replace the line that you change out the fairlead as well. If the fairlead was used with cable then it is going to have jagged edges and could damage the new synthetic line that you are putting on. I agree the 12' line is great for someone with a plow.
  12. I agree the first model looked a lot better but the option of having the hood open is nice also put the 2 together and you would have a sweet UTV.
  13. KFX450R all the way I have a 2008 model and it is awesome put a Lexx exhaust and Fuel controller on it and it almost has to much power. Fuelinjection, lightwieght, Reverse, great handling and tons of power what more could you want.
  14. I have a 2008 KFX450R and love it I use it for about every type of riding there is and it has been great the reverse option is very nice for those times you get in a tight spot on a trail, I would defintly choose the kfx450 over the 400ex or Z400.
  15. There should be 4 bolts on top of the rear swing arm loosen all 4 then there are 2 studs with nuts on them on the back of the swingarm if you loosen them it will then allow you to pull the axle back towards you wich will tighten the chain, once you have it adjusted to where you want it just tighten the 4 bolts on top of the swingarm and you are ready to ride. Really it is pretty simple you just want to make sure when loosening the nuts on the 2 studs you do so equally so that the axle is not offset to one side anyhow hope this helps!
  16. I would defintly check the things the others have posted and if that don't solve your problem I would have the valves checked this may sound odd but I had 2003 KFX400 and had the exact problem and it ended up being the valves were out of adjustment.
  17. Thanks for the info I ride in a lot of diffrent weather condtions so it is proablly best if I keep the air bow but I think I want to stick with a foam filter type I have found one by Pro Design that I am looking into, again thanks for your input.
  18. I am not sure what you use your winch for most but if you plow a lot I would recommend just buying a 12ft synthetic plow rope this is what i use on mine during plow season and it works great Warn makes these and they hold up a lot better then your standard wire cable, they are also a lot cheaper then buying a 50ft synthetic rope. Once plow season is over I just pull the 12ft rope off and put the 50ft cable back on for when i am out playing in the mud, hopefully this helps!!
  19. I have a 2008 Kawasaki KFX 450R and am looking for a good intake system any suggestions?
  20. I purchased a piston and rings for mine at Rocky Mountain ATV they had the best price but I am not sure if they carry the other parts you need you would have to check.
