  1. oh ok. so which do you prefer and why out of the bikes you have ridden?
  2. not me. still 15. those kodiaks are among my top fav utility atvs!
  3. the 220 I'm working on always has trouble starting even after its been running a while... it just struggles to get that first turn-over and then its good. the owner didnt want it replaced, so itll just have to be that way, but probably the same issue.. thanks!
  4. haha I'm surprised admin hasnt shut this thread down yet.............. there is some helpful content on it but not much btw congrats @Twilight228 and @Todd Trask, you got a like from admin.... haha ig they have been watching this thread lol
  5. go check out @Frank Angerano thread "buying a used bike" before you go check out the wolverine. Some great tips in there!!
  6. I dont know... I'm really at the end of my budget on this bike- I mean I really want to, but nada guide says its only worth 2000 and I have 1900 in it as for grease, what kind do you use? I was using I spray on WD-40+lithium grease for grease and then just plain WD-40 for stuck or rusty stuff....
  7. ok so took it riding over the weekend- it was making all kinds of chatter over bumps and turning and stuff--- looked and there are no a-arm bushings left- anywhere. so which bushing kit would you guys recommend? would this do it?: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DWP1G4L/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1638GKL8LHXA8&psc=1
  8. I run those executioners on my sportsman 500- they eat boi!!!
  9. just wondering @Ajmboy, do you do much with polaris, and if so, how do you like/dislike each brand of bike? (the utility model ex: Sportman or magnum vs grizzly or kodiak)
  10. try checking your idle speed- that could cause grinding when shifting into high.
  11. If its worth it to you, I would love to take a look at your bike if you brought it down to me- I cant come to you because I'm under-aged and cant drive yet😣 im in christiansburg VA. If you are interested, massage me privately and I can send you my address. but if you want to figure this thing out on your own, I totally understand! I'm just really curios as to what the issue turns out to be.
  12. oh ok. so for a bayou what would you use?
  13. dont have any snow here... its supposed to rain later today.... been having some nice weather tho!
  14. ok. well I might take the top of the carb off again and adjust the needle some more- the air screw is out all the way haha. and @Frank Angerano, what I found with the chinese carbs so far is that they like to run a lot leaner that the oem carbs. I'm running one on the bayou and on this thing now. other than the startup on the sportsman, both work great! just have to take the air screw waaaaayyyy out. haha I'm still proud of myself for getting the sportsmans carb almost perfect on the first try 🤩🤗
  15. nope- no garage here! they are lucky to get under a shed at my place haha- no room lol
  16. I got a polaris sportsman 500 that has park (an 04 model). I dont think from my experience it is bad for your tranny. Does it put stress on it? yes, the more weight you put on it, the more pull will be on the parking system-- but its made to handle that stress and its not bad for it. transmitions are tough on those quads--- btw what quad you got? My friend pulled his family's 4x4 ford Excursion out of the mud (this thing was a monster diesel with a lift and over sized tires) using his 02 polaris sportsman 500- tranny never even wined... he just had to get his fam to sit on his bike cause it didnt have enough weight on it.......😎
  17. Ive never seen one of those..... what all is it useful for? cause I got a bottle jack that my dad gave me cause it ran out of oil- I filled it up and it works great, just dont have any use for it... I was thinking of making an atv lift with it????? maybe make the frame out of wood and mount the floor jack in there? I will post it here if I do something like that... Dont have much room in my tiny workshop rn..
  18. Also, I spoke too fast about the adjustment. Only for the first say 20 seconds when you start it up, it wants to bog down if you punch the throttle- after she gets warm, it runs amazing! Also on the first cold start, it doesnt fire unless you give it a little throttle. I tried choke- she hates it. the engine dies instantly with any choke at all. I'm assuming its still burning rich? The cold start thing is not a biggie for me- just like I said, I wanted to sell this bike haha
  19. yes it's independent suspension. I also noticed that there was a little bit of axle grease leaking from the upper cv boots- not much, but its for sure there
  20. ok, so just ignore it? is it supposed to do that ( i assume not lol)
  21. @pokerl0w you could buy my sportsman.... has snow tires on it already lol jk
  22. yea- same model as mine- klf300b if I'm not mistaken. (bayou 300) I'm wondering the same thing? I know my kawasaki acts like a diesel- no acceleration, but tons of low end power
