  1. I hope they release pictures.
  2. I had the same problem on a Kodiak 450 I used to own. The issue was that after the quad sat for a bit, the float pin became corroded and stuck, causing the float to get stuck up, cutting off the fuel. Take the carb bowl off and see if that float moves freely. * Added manufacturer and full year to thread title.
  3. Cool. Let us know how it goes.
  4. * Added full year and issue into thread title. New title: 2009 Arctic Cat 150 Performance Increase
  5. I know that with some quads you can start it in gear by depressing the left hand brake. I would check to see if you have any crap from the mud, twigs, etc...caked in there. * Added year, make, and manufacturer to thread title.

  9. I've installed a HMF Swamp Series slip on exhaust on my Grizzly. I noticed a bit of smoking coming from the exhaust. Jetted it to HMF suggested 175 main jet. Seems to run pretty smooth. Definately feel more power. attached some pictures. I'm going to write up a full review for QUADCRAZY.
  10. That's a good point MIKEL5469...
  11. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Does it have a factory or aftermarket exhaust? * Added manufacturer to thread title.
  12. Both you guys said you wanted to know more, any responses to admin's post? It pretty much sumarizes it.
  13. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Does the choke play any role in how smooth or rough the engine runs? If you put it on, does it smooth out at all? * Added issue to thread title.
  14. Another great picture!

  17. Welcome Back! Glad the wifey is doing well!
  18. I took your advice DD, I bought those allen head screws. I still have not got the parts by mail... Yesterday I wrapped up the exhaust, installed a HMF Swamp series slip on. I installed a 175 main jet per recommendations from HMF. Starts right up, but I noticed some smoking going on. I changed the oil, because it was due and black. Seemed to get a little better. I'm wondering if I should go down to a 165 or 175 main jet. I also am waiting on a new air filter, stock replacement. The exhaust sounds nice.... Just a little bit of a rough idle and slight smoking. No smoking with the stock exhaust. I've never gone aftermarket exhaust, so this is new to me.
  19. Hmm...I wonder if you have a dead spot in the starter motor. Try tapping that starter with a hammer.
  20. Have you looked over a schematic? Here's one from Bike Bandit: 1999 Yamaha KODIAK / YFM400FWL Parts, 1999 Yamaha KODIAK / YFM400FWL OEM Parts - BikeBandit.com
  21. I'd offer the guy $3200 for the 2009.....
  22. I usually pick up one of those automotive tire plug kits at walmart or gas station convenience stores. They're cheap enough and come with a few plugs. Even smaller kits than this one, which comes with patches. Look for plugs only: Walmart.com: Victor Tire Tool Box Kit: Automotive
  23. There should be a way to shim that, but I would just replace it with a factory belt. Take a look at this video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiRTKqoXFPE]YouTube - Teryx Belt Deflection Test[/ame]
  24. Welcome to QUADCRAZY. I'm not sure what you folks have there in terms of used parts, etc..but have you tried ebay or any local publications? * Thread moved to Suzuki ATV Forum Forum
  25. That's the oil pump if I'm on not mistaken.
