How much do you have to bend it to make it fit? Does the new carb look like the old carb? Can you post some pics? * Added year, make, and model to thread title.

Check all your wires and connections from the starter up. It's possible that your ignition switch or start switch is bad also. * Edited thread title, added manufacturer and issue. -

Hmm, I would check the coil, the plug, and the plug wire. Make sure that they all have good connections also. Maybe your coil is bad, that's possible also.

LOL..that happens to me, I loose tools all the time. They are usually lying somewhere because I forget to put them back where they belong. Then I need something, and it's an hour to find a freakin tool!

I agree, drain the old fuel if it has been sitting for a long time. I still feel that carb needs a rebuild.

Yeah, sounds like that coil. why do you think you have restrictions? If you get a less restrictive exhaust, you may need to jet the carb.
