2007 Arctic Cat - Fuel Pump Problem?
swampcat07 replied to Bluetrapper's topic in Arctic Cat ATV Forum
I have worked on a ton of 07s and I never had problems with the fuel pumps, The actually work off of a vacuum. You can hear the pump working if you take off the seat and listen to the pump. You can remove the supply line to the carb and put it on a IV and see if you can get it to start. The only fuel related problem I had was that the vacuum line from after the carb was loose and not pulling enough vacuum to make the pump work. I would blow out that line with compressed air and make sure there are no leaks. See if you can prime the carb and if that works. I take it that the quad cranks but does not start? -

Good Morning Everyone! So who has plans for the 4th? -
Well I am glad to see you are OK. The thing is once you wreck you have to get right back on and ride. The same things happened to me when I rolled my quad, you second guess everything. You just need to start riding again and get your confidence back. Leave the quad that is winching running and maybe you can borrow a snatch block if it is a steep incline to take some of the pressure off of the cable. Also get some type of wheel chock to put under your quads tires when you go to re rig the cable for the next pull. Do it in stages and give the winch a break in between so you don't overheat the winch.

Benefits Of Synthetic ATV Oil
swampcat07 replied to jerod400ex's topic in This vs. That ATV & Off Road Comparisons
I use synthetic oil but I still change my oil alot in the quad so it can get expensive. -

Good Mornin' -
See if you knocked off or loosened a vacuum line.

Welcome to Quad Crazy! If you want something reliable then stick with Yamaha or Honda. Not always the best for every situation but you turn the key they start right up and off you go. Very Dependable. Kawi used to be another good manufacturer but I have noticed that their V Twins need a lot of TLC and don't mix well with water.

Kazuma Falcon 150 - Having trouble getting quad to start
swampcat07 replied to GregandTom's topic in Kazuma ATV Forum
That problem sounds like a weak starter. I had a similar problem. The quad won't start but when you try and start the quad not on the compression stroke (ie intake, power, or exhaust) it would start just fine. I would remove the spark plug and tap it over with the ignition. The reinstall the plug and it would start just fine. -
Glad you signed up! Welcome to Quad Crazy.

Kazuma Falcon 150 - Having trouble getting quad to start
swampcat07 replied to GregandTom's topic in Kazuma ATV Forum
I have no clue when it comes to Kazuma Falcon but I would start in the same place with any quad. Check for power to the starter and make sure it is getting fuel. I believe yours has an auto choke so I would spray some starter fluid in the carb if you can get the starter to turn over. It also looks like this model has a kill switch built in, just make sure the kill switch is not on. Check the kill switch wiring and see if is killing the motor. Here are some general wiring diagrams floating around the net. They are not exact matches to your model but they might give you a few ideas where to look. I also renamed the post title so others who may know more about the quads can find it quicker. -

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend of riding. -
Nope you are right. Like I said I saw a few bad contactors and the guy not only lost his ATV but his house.

Check and make sure you have power to the Coil and spark plug also check your key switch is working correctly. Change out the spark plug and see if that helps. It may be a short under the rear plastics or near the front handlebars where they go through the black plastic. Other common problems for the 07 are the magnets on the flywheel and the starter. Take a look at the wiring first and let us know what you find.

Good Morning! -
I think you might not even need a 20amp fuse just check what size your ignition fuse is. Maybe a 10 or 15 amp. The reason why they run the switch through the ignition is so that it can not be accidently activated, for a while there a few quad fires occurred from bad contactors. Also when you are winching you draw a lot of power from the battery and should have the quad running anyway if possible.

That's some bad luck, you have officially rode te snot out of them!
