  1. there is a nice blow up diagram in the clutch section to let you know what you're up against ... Yamaha Blaster Parts Manual.pdf
  2. hahaha, sorry i didn't see this the other day.... well, i was speaking/emailing a russian member here, edmen, it was his birthday and i posted a 'happy birthday' on his wall/profile page. he emailed me back a thank you after i converted it into english. i thought i would try and shock him somewhat and started converting words and sentences for a good hour and a half, emailing each other back and forth. i think he was getting more of a kick out of it than i was ... да я не говорю Российской (so yes i do speak russian)
  3. yes, give it a try when its warm. i'm thinking the stator is failing if you have replaced all the other electrical components. my other bike had the same symptoms.
  4. i'm workin' on it, just waiting for an answer back !!
  5. looks like it ain't afraid of nuthin' !! what size tires are on it?

  7. too bad they only ship in the u.s. free, i can't find out a price for shipping to canada ... :censored:
  8. does it sputter like its not getting gas before it dies? are your fuel lines good, fuel vent lines? when it shuts down, have you pulled the plug to check if there is spark? if it is running hot like that, perhaps the bike is running too lean and this may be a carbuetor problem ...
  9. nice job, gotta love old school flames !! www.shaggysraticals.com, i checked it out, nice stuff he does !!
  10. MCMM, that is awesome !! did you paint this and is it all airbrushed?
  11. it would be nice to think it might be just the pick up coil, its probably the least expensive, but you wont know for sure until you get some readings. could very well be something in the cdi box opening and closing for some reason too. swampcat07 might be able to give you some more hands on experiences since he is so good with them before, when my big bear was down, it had weak spark and very inconsistant, sometimes spark, sometimes not, but wouldn't run, and it turned out to be the stator ... ???
  12. i would test meter all the electrical components and you should be able to find whats breaking down...
  13. cool vid, i still have snow and ice over water where i am, can't wait to feel the splash
  14. the spark should be bright blue. if you can get a test meter, you could determine if its the coil, voltage regulator or stator. what year and make of bike are you working on? is this the bayou 300?
  15. i can send you the service manual that covers the years from 1986 to 2006 with all the supplements. you can either put your email on here in this thread or send me a message to my mail here at the site, or email me direct at [email protected]

  17. probably once you get the feeler gauge and set them right, it won't knock anymore. good news !!
  18. you will find the vin usually on the frame by the motor on the left side (drivers door). you can decode it here : Yamaha VIN Decoder @ Motoverse.com a little oil is normal (no more than a couple teaspoons) if you have more, it usually means you overfilled with oil, you have a blocked crankcase vent line or a plugged exhaust. if your rings are bad, the pressure in the combustion chamber will create pressure in the crankcase and force oil up through the vent lines.
  19. in the manual, section 3 page 11 they show a plug there, i think most are all yamahas have them. might be dirty and covered with dirt/mud/oil, but it is there ...
  20. section 3-10 to 3-13 is clutch adjustments ... blastermanual.pdf
