  3. i hear ya on that !! it was really warm here for 4-5 days, but it got cold and started snowing again ...
  4. a bad ground usually does that ... dam, thats not good news replacing another one ... check all the grounds ... battery, cdi, just go thru everything and sand areas that connect to the frame, and clean connectors as best you can and dielectric grease it all checking all the wiring you may discover a short somewhere too, around the neck of the handlebars, under the fuel tank and seat on the frame rail ... where ever you see wearing on the protective covering, peel it back and look, electrical tape to repair ...
  5. the 350s and 400s are the same block, the 400 has a longer stroke. i would assume yamaha didnt change the motor mounts, but dont quote me ... looking on the parts list, a kodiak in the year 1996 to 1998 uses the same frame, the 350s used a different frame ... i would say take some measurements and cross your fingers. the connectors will probably be different from different years/bikes too ... im sure you will run into a few mods you have to do along the way ...

  12. it is probably something to do with the clutch/shift fork bent, or stuck, or the guide ...

  15. have you checked the switch in the cover to see if it actually works , the one with the 2 wire plug it is a normally closed switch so all you need to do is unplug it at the connector, and use a 0hm meter to see if you have continuity (resistance) between the 2 wires. a video from youtube about resetting the belt ...   17. i love hondas ... they are very nice, bulletproof if you will ... it will be alot slower than the warrior, but there will be no where you cant get to ...
  18. drats !! well, i think you have to get a plan of attack together and get inside the case ... take your time and taking pictures isnt a bad idea ...
  19. have you checked the cable? i have read where if they are at the end and stretched, it is hard shifting too ...
  20. everything is easy if you have confidence, but yes, if you know your way around the garage i think you could pacify yourself for a day ... i really dont think it is all that difficult ...
  21. im not sure if thats the case, i know my big bear i can leave it in gear, and it has another shifter for the forward and reverse ... im not sure the set-up on the warriors ...
