  2. i know regular unleaded works, but higher octane keeps bike running better, any good brand oil is ok as long as it is atv oil ... yamaha will have you believe yamalube is the best for your bike, but like i said, any decent brand ATV oil 5-10W40-50 regular or synthetic, depending on conditions (extreme cold/hot)
  3. i would take the carb off and give it a really good cleaning, check the needle and seat at the float and make sure needle has a nice point ... i would remove as much as i could with the inards and clean thoroughly using a stripped twist tie to get everything cleared out ... lots of spray carb clean and if you have a compressor to blow it all out, all the better ...

  7. if you hold the carb upside down and level with the bowl off, measure the distance from the mating surface of the bowl to the top of the float, i think if you are at a half inch or less you should be good. there is a metal tab where the needle slides onto to the float to adjust if need be ...
  8. more than likely the carb float isnt closing the needle and seat allowing the gas into the crank ...

  10. there is another thread where you found this. Polaris ATV Manuals. I think for the year you want, you have to download an all models pdf. Owwners manuals i am sure you can still get from the polaris site online.

  12. you can adjust them with the drum on with the inspection cover rubber boot off. turn the star wheel to adjust tight or loose, probably have to bleed the fronts again ...
