  1. I've never heard anything about that machine, sorry.
  2. Yep, that was country... Better than some I've heard but not my flavor. This gets me ready. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDZSXtLPGVE&feature=related]YouTube - Danzig - Mother (Live)[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7WanzlOvGg]YouTube - Descendents - Bikeage[/ame]
  3. I personally have never heard anything negative about them.
  4. We did meet through another forum but became great friends on this on. While Drtygrl and I were on our honeymoon he showed us an amazing time while we were in Oregon. He made us some bbq, took us on a great trail ride, and just treated us as if we were family. He is a great man.
  5. Many of us know Raptor8, he has helped everyone here in one way or another. By either getting their machine running to even making you laugh on a bad day. Kristin and I have gotten to know him very well and he has become a dear friend. As most of us know he has been having medical difficulties which has caused him to not be able to grace us with his presence. I got word today that he had a stroke this morning, he is still fighten and giving the docs hell...that's Mr.8 for ya. He is in the hospital waiting for more test as I type. Hang in there brother, we need you around.
  6. What kind of riding are you doing? The Banshee is kind of a single sided machine and that is for the dunes. While they work just fine in other applications, they will get handled on a mx track. In the woods or tight trails, a 2 stroke is a lot of work to ride fast. The Raptor 700 is a great machine for dunes and trails. In stock form they will get beat by a 450 but add intake, exhaust, and fuel programmer and it is almost untouchable. The YFZ450 is going to be the best all around choice. Stay away from the early models of the 450 and the 700 and you will be fine. The Banshee has gone almost unchanged since it's debut. Is there a reason you are only looking at Yamaha?
  7. DAMN, I'm getting old... That's a racers mentality for you, I was kicking as* and stopping to fix my hydration hose wasn't an option... maybe i should have.
  8. The Brute is a very solid machine. Ask to test ride it, and to see the motor. The motors on 4x4s are usually covered up pretty well. Make sure there is no oil leaking from around the gaskets. Check the oil, make sure it is not milky, that means he sank it. What kind of condition are the plastics in? I know plenty of people that have bought machines and rode them for a summer and then they sit for years maybe getting it out once a year.
  9. I couldn't get fluids in me quick enough. I have never had anything like that happen to me before, scared the hell out of me. Blacking out at 60+ mph is not my idea of a good time.
  10. At that point I would have paid good money for a hangover rather than what I had.
  11. 1 lap for us was 13 miles. It was pretty interesting, I don't remember doing a good 1.5 mile section of the track on lap 3. When I made it back to the pits and got off my quad, everything went black except the twinkles I was seeing. Almost collapsed, my mom had to hold me up and help get my gear off. I was in extremely bad shape. I thought at one point during the last lap I was going to puke in my helmet. I'm very disappointed with myself but what are you gonna do. I think it would have had a much worse ending had I chose to continue.
  12. The problem with wax is that it sticks to everything. Dirt sticks to it like crazy. Light a candle let the wax get hot and then stick it in the dirt. You will never get all the dirt off. I prefer to use Belray Chain Lube. Bel-Ray Super Clean Chain Lube - Street Bike - Accessories - Motorcycle Superstore
  13. Only got 2 of me this race. I started blacking out during the 3rd lap. I had a serious case of heat exhaustion going on.
  14. I'm 6'2" also. I know what you mean about needing a taller stem. I have stock stem butI added the fat bar adapter which gave me a total of plus 1" with the adapter and new bars.
  15. Right on, I have heard a lot of good things about that series.
  16. My racing buddy set up a toggle switch out of a police car on my handle bars and wired it to my starter. It works just as good if not better than stock. But it is just a temporary fix until I get the actual part. This way i can race.
  17. Looks like he has a +1 stem/adapter and his bars are pushed forward. Makes a better standing position.
  18. You won't get banned for speaking your mind. You did it tastefully, that is all we can ask. On the same note, I agree with you. Everyone forgets what kind of sicko Wacko Jacko really was. What about the kid in the early 90's that got paid a stupid amount of money to keep his mouth shut? I hope he rest in piece but the world is a better place without him.
  19. Watch out for Gators! I moved this to posted events.
  20. Thanks BB, I'll do my best.
  21. I'm very sorry to hear about your dad.
  22. I have about 5 days until my next race. This one will be a 130 mile race in the heat of the day July 11th. The riders will have 2 challenges, ride hard an smart to take the right line and keep their machine from overheating. It is supposed to be about 97 degrees. I'm currently 4th in the points standing, the number 1 rider is unable to race and he is prepping my quad for me. I think I see a top 3 performance...if I can finish!
  23. Word from the bird is that we don't have the technology as of right now. There are only a few phones that have the ability. And QC is not setup for that.
