Congrads. I love some of the stuff ITP puts out. -
Happy New Year! Hope all is well. It's good to see you back.

It may be hard to tell if the mount is broken or out of alignment. Polaris has issued a new engine mount (pn:3022071)to supersede the original engine mount. When picking up a new belt I would try and order the new mount. I also would tell the dealer why you are ordering it looks like the warranty period expired in 2008.

I agree Time for a carb cleaning sounds like the needle is stuck or the main jet is blocked. Did you get any water in the airbox? -
Alot of good photos so far. All we need is a little snow here.

1998 Polaris Xplorer 400 Secondary Driven Clutch Installation
swampcat07 replied to dawgkllr's topic in Polaris ATV Forum
No problem I know the AC clutches are not exactly the same so it sounds like the longer bolt is the fix. My quad has a reverse rev limiter, maybe its that. I can overide it by having it in 4WD and pushing an overide button. I almost flipped it when I did that though. Does it sound detuned/missing when WOT in reverse? -
1998 Polaris Xplorer 400 Secondary Driven Clutch Installation
swampcat07 replied to dawgkllr's topic in Polaris ATV Forum
Don't be shy when putting it back on keep rotating the clutch and pushing it on. When the splines line up it should go about 3/4 of the way on then just make sure you use an impact and the proper torque to make sure you have it on all the way. Also use red loctite on the nut, I have seen some of the clutch nuts work their way free on other bikes. I am working on my clutch today changing over to a winter belt for plowing, I'll take some pics. -

Good Morning . . Hope the new year is going well. -
It did alot for preformance but if I were to do it again I would skip the exhaust, too noisy. I have a black Magic but HMF is a bit louder than that I think. You will not see crazy gains unless you replace the header also.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone gets home safe. -
You will have to rejet because of less air intake from the solid lid. I would do a plug chop and see where you are at with WOT.
