  1. you wanna have fun put a toomey pipe kit on that bad boy! It really wakes them up! I miss mine, should never have sold it. It's in Cali now [where it can't be ridden] and the guy wants too much for it even tho it's sitting in a shed for 6 years now with FUEL IN IT. grrrrr. Don't feel bad RMH I have 5 Honda ATCs in the garage....
  2. there is an add-on muffler for hunting I've seen on TV. makes em super quiet. Hit the big places like rocky mountain atv they'll have it. Keep an eye on sound levels- the EPA is gonna be bringing them down on us! Right now Oregon is 99 everywhere except the beach, which is 93. Before long it will be 93 db statewide! Then my FMF will have to come off...
  3. EXCELLENT MY FRIEND! While you are out on the track I will make sure the beer garden is safe and sound, awaiting your return....
  4. Gearhead x2, Yamaha does the same thing EXCEPT the 01 raptor 660.
  5. We'll make it- no worries. We're nice folks right? hahahaha
  6. Old POS MOtorola I got off ebay used. nothing fancy. that's why my cell bill is only $30/month... If this one breaks, I'll just buy another used one.
  7. The rear differential is out of his... I havent found one anywhere. He wants to use HIS as a parts quad. ATCs I have several- find out what wheeler he has and what he needs- I may have it! There are LOTS of old three wheelers around here- out in the weather, in barns, etc that are only good for parts. for the right price I drag them home...
  8. HONDAS are pretty tough. About the only way to hurt them is to run them out of oil.... pull the spark plug out and turn it over- if it pushes your thumb off the hole, that's pretty good! oil level makes a huge difference in any Honda.
  9. just keep your blade angled and you should be OK.
  10. thank god for cycle country eh? They are a good company and I'll bet they help you out even tho they make nothing on it, they are standing behind their product... Tell everyone you can about this cheap whoever-he-is. at least he got his name right eh?
  11. Welcome! lots of Raptor fans here!
  12. Welcome Gary! I know someone who would LOVE to buy that Timberwolf when you upgrade... I'll even come and get it! It's a friend of mine in Brazil, he has one but can't get parts for it anymore. He wants me to find him a good one so he can use his for spare parts... I guess he can afford to ship it down there so that's cool. Keep it in the back of your head OK?
  13. Josh, you beat me to it hahaha I was gonna comment: Point of grammar: The woman at the end of the bar with Marlboro lines in her face is a WENCH, the motor you use to pick up your plow is a WINCH. If yer under 600 bones and you install it yourself that's really good! I used to plow our road with my 8N Ford, but since nobody ever pitched in a dime and it needs work now I gave up on it... If they even pitched in for gas that would have kept me going, but no, so now I do my driveway and stay in the house, near the woodstove. their loss!:rantc:
  14. File a complaint against the cops if you want, but it's his word against yours and you will lose. You cannot justify bad behavior by pointing out other bad behavior. I wouldn't risk my quad by going back there. I just lost 2 riding areas I've used legally since the 1960s... I can't afford a new quad so I stay the heck out even tho I am sure I can elude them successfully. These laws rarely make sense but until you finish law school you are stuck like the rest of us... I hope you have a place to ride near home!
  15. All I have seen today on the news is how badly the east coast has been beaten up by a 'blizzard.' That blizzard was here a week ago- it didn't even make the news... Our airports stayed open- we are prepared for this weather- it happens to you folks every year as well and everybody seems surprised.... hmmm Tip: when you see a storm in the Northwest, start getting ready on the East Coast! I still have 18 inches of snow in my front yard...
  16. check ebay for a CDI- I have purchased a couple for Hondas off there with 100% success.
  17. and run the best fuel you can buy! It gets cold here too, so in winter, I run race gas in mine, 110 octane. starts right up!
  18. the annoying part there is getting to it! you gotta remove all that plastic! and don't lose any of those little black attachments! It could be worse- it could be a raptor, where you start by removing the headlights....
  19. you're on the right track. You can't bore it enuf to really make a performance difference but if you do bore it, a good machinist will want the new piston and rings in his hand before he'll bore it. I agree with RMH a clean up is prob all you'll need, a machinist can measure the jug for you and tell you if it's worn out or not. Brakes: everyhting clean and dry- you may as well throw some new pads on it while it's apart right? the lever should move smoothly- may need lube, perhaps a little sanding.
  20. Al it depends on the state. In Oregon, for example, they just started titling ORVs in 2004, no titles before that! Look at your state's DMV website and find out what's the deal for you...
  21. couldn't happen to nicer people! start resting up now! hahaha got a quad picked out yet? ;p
  22. 60 inch blade MAX on a 400... superwinch or Warn, either will work fine. Several different makers of plows, all seem to be OK... You can buy a manual plow too if money is a factor. Maybe some electric grips? that's about it I think..
  23. not that I am aware of. Perhaps someone knows more about it tho...
