Good points, I forgot that the vacuum line to the switch would be because of fuel shut off on engine stall.

I got a 700, and never had any noises that I can remember unless I let off at 70 mph, maybe a little whine. That thing is brand new, I would take it to the dealer. There could be (I'm not sure) an additive that is supposed to go in there.

You may have an issue with the neutral safety switch on that. I don't have a manual on that thing unfortunately. Definately buy yourself a manual. I looked at a bruin 350 a few years back but ended up buying a Yamaha Kodiak 450 just because of the more power and 4WD features made a difference. They don't make the Bruin 350 anymore, it's a Grizzly 350. They are witin $100 of each other. Are you looking 2WD or 4WD? Look at the specs of the 2 and compare, next..go sit on them both at a dealer.

Is the DIFF light on? Did you try to push the button and go in reverse or low speed and wait for it to disengage..or try to go down a hill to disengage. Is it difficult to steer? With diff lock on it's tuff to steer vs just the 4WD. I know I have that issue sometimes when it's in 4WD but in motion, it will not disengage. You need to disengage DIFF lock then the 4WD.

Welcome to the community..sorry to hear about that. Pictures would definately help. Do yourself a favor and keep an eye out for them on Craigslist if they are trying to unload them..

It's possible I guess....but it seems to me that he Rigged something else to make it work because your vacuum is seems messed up. Did he tell you what he did to Rig it? All the Petcock does it set fuel flow...shouldn't cause backfiring or misfiring. It should have an on, off, and reserve..positions..right? Where does the vacuum line that you plugged go? To and from...

Poor squirrel....It was probably trying to find a warm place to raise a family. You should just keep the GM parked...they're going out of business anyway...

I believe that is Fuel Injected. It's obviously a cold start issue. Some possible causes: 1. EFI systems are controlled by a mini ECM or module, and may need to be flashed or reprogrammed. Could be what BuckBilly said. 2. Not sure, but maybe there is a cold start injector like on cars that may be having an issue. 3. Could be a temperature sensor that is not telling the machine to dump more fuel when it's cold or before reaching operating temperature. No matter how you look at it, since it's fuel injected..I would take it to a dealer if you are not familiar with the system.

I didn't know that..how do you set it to flash/check? Are you putting it into some sort of flash/diagnostic mode?

Man that thing is in great shape. I thought it was a newer jeep from the pic in the other post. Sounds to me like the left side leaf spring is sagging. You can get leaf spring support kit.."add a leaf" or something like that. One tip..JCWhitney has a ton of stuff for Jeeps! Jeep Helper Spring at JC Whitney I don't own a jeep, but have worked on them and my friend owned an 85 or 86 CJ7.
