  1. My buddy is offering to give me his 2002 (I think, or maybe 2001) Polaris Xpedition 425 ATV. I told him I would play around with it if I can find some spare time. I know he's beat the crap out of it, but I'm pretty sure it starts and runs. I think it needs some tires, front rack, and lights, and some other stuff. If anyone has any XPedition parts or experience, please chime in here. It'll probably be May before I get it, and if I do, it's be a new project to get it up to speed..I guess we'll see. It pretty much (from what I remember when he used to ride it) looks like:
  2. I would hate for you to get my address!!!!
  3. Just a heads up for the people that submitted pictures here with no people in them, the first post says: * You must have 2 or more machines in the photo with riders on or around the machines. By entering this contest, you allow QUADCRAZY the right to use your photo for marketing purposes, ex. Front page advertisements, banners, etc.

  8. That's a good one. Why not, they're covering GM and Chrysler warranties now...
  9. DD, what type of synthetic oil do you use? Do you get it at the atv dealer, online or auto parts store? I've always used Valvoline ATV 4 stroke oil (not synthetic though). Valvoline.com - ATV 4-Stroke Motor Oil I've seen some dealers carry: Full Synthetic ATV oil LINK
  10. I agree with you BB. I also think that instead of bailout, they should have let GM and AIG go bankrupt. It wouldhave killed teh GM union contracts and the company would have seen some new investors as it rebuilds. AIG is just a Giant that should fall.
  11. Great, let us know how you make out.
  12. Glad to hear you got it running. Maybe you are getting some moisture. As long as it's running now!!!
  13. It sounds like the starter motor spins, but the pinion gear is not engaging. You may have a sticking pinion gear due to dirt. Maybe pul it out and see. Worst case scenario, your starter is bad. I have heard of starters not fully engaging when the battery is weak. Try adding a booster back to your battery or charger with a 12v engine start..just to check and make sure. I've moved your thread into the mechanical section. Welcome to the community!
  14. Well, that's what happens when you accept bailout money. GM was run poorly, did not read their customer demands, and let union contracts get out of hand. Heads must roll! Part of the agreement to get MORE bailout for GM, was the resignation of their CEO. I think it's totally acceptable if you want to keep getting tax payer money. That company needs new leadership. If you read about him, he set a bad tone and way of doing things in GM. Don't worry, he's getting a 20 million exit package.....his 40 year run is through. If you accept bailout, the government will have a say in your operations.
  15. Very interesting. I am curious how it rides. I used to work under a Hunter alignment rack for about 5 years when I was a bit younger, at Sears Auto. We used to bang them (alignments) out. With my atvs, I do everything by eye.. Not the correct way ofcourse. That gauge is nice, you'll be able to do your cars too.. Keep us posted!
  16. Welcome to QUADCRAZY! Do you write for magazines? Maybe we'll see QC in your writings....
