Pull the plug wire off and test the spark to see if you actually only get spark when pressing the start button. is it a matter of every time you start it, its start up but dies after you release the start button? If so, that's odd. Like DD said, check your connections. How does it crank, slow? How old is the battery? Is there a safety switch on that model? I don't remember. It has like 3 shifters right?

Every Sprint Store was sold out on Saturday, I went into a Radio Shack yesterday and they had one left. So far I love this thing...Syncs my e-mails, stereo bluetooth, & wifi. I just got it so I am still trying to learn it. Browsing is awesome, I can view this site or any other 3G. Apps are cool, easy to use..similar to iPhone. It's not too big, fits in my pocket, very easy to use. All the hype is on the money so far. Took me a bit to get used to, I upgraded from a Nextel ic902

Dirt Demon is right on the money with that, get a multimeter and test the circuit. Do you leave it in 4WD when turning it off? With the multimiter in place, test the 4wd on and off (before shutting it down). I'm thinking 4WD actuator or switch. What year and how many CCs? 650 or 750?

How do you do that? Do you go to school for this? Is this for gaming? They look great!

Isn't that a safety feature? Are you saying that you have to hold the clutch in then you press the start button and the starter works? It sounds to me like your bike has no way of recognizing neutral, therefore you may have a bad Neutral relay or Neutral switch.

Are you new to the site? Where are you from?

Did you go through some mud? Try rolling the quad down hill while it's running in neutral, then press the diff lock button, then disengage the 4wd button.

That's a liquid cooled motor. Is there a temperature gauge or light on that? Liquid cooled motors usually run a thermostat. Is this machine new? What year? Under warranty? -
I'll bet you will be sad to see her go... Going to a KTM will be something else. Why not go for a Yamaha Raptor or something.....

Looking forward to the pics. I've never owned or ridden one of these... Hopefully some members will be able to give you some feedback. Changed your thread title to "2000 Can-Am DS 650 Project" to increase search results and replies.

Welcome to the community! I don't remember a specific thread about GPS systems, but you can use the "SEARCH" button towards the top of the forums to hunt for one. I would however recommend starting a new thread in the General Discussion forum...
