  1. about the full time 4 wheel comment ... Yamaha ATV Models - Utility later models may have had the 2 to 4 select option ...
  2. it just might be full time 4 wheel drive. block your machine up and see if the front tires spin also ... as for a 'knob' for decompression, not likely. the trick is to pull the cord and make tension, count to 3 and then pull hard. PIA for sure, i had to do it with my grizzly, and it's no fun ...

  9. i would think if it was leaking, it would be coolant. there are valve adjustment ports that might leak if the O ring is garbage ???
  10. i'm not sure about taking the engine out, but if the manual says; it might be a helluva lot easier to work on. ck1999_400ex would be a good guy to pm about this. i know he's done alot of yamaha work ...
  11. it's just the nature of the beast. auto's don't have that problem. most manual shift are like yours ... you could try playing with the adjustment, but i don't it will help. the fork might be bent slightly is all ...
  12. there must be another one out there. i just don't know why yours would have drums ??? i would run your serial number thru the decoder in the yamaha section, it might be an asian model as opposed to a U.S. or Canadian model ?? is it drums on the back and disc on front??
