  1. you will have to put a new one on to save everything else. the regulator will maintain 12 volts, so i would say it broke down and probably just took that out, and maybe a fuse along the way ... could have just fatigued itself ... smaell the other end of the connection, if its a burnt smell or cracked somewhere ...
  2. I probably have the service manual for your bike in the Honda forum. May come in handy for you ...
  3. check your valve clearences ...
  4. you can remove it, but it wont do much good. sprockets will make it faster than 75 ...

  6. i know polaris was doing away with fuses, so it could even be that cluster/connector where your battery cables link into first. and i would add if there isnt a fuseable link in your winch cable, put one in where you can get at it easily ...

  11. take the starter off and either take it to an atv dealer or napa type place and do a load test on it. you can hook the starter up direct to a battery and see if it spins, but under a load it might not have the berries. check for replacement brushes too ...
  12. there might be a fuseable link in the positive cable to the winch. as far as i know, polaris has fuses under front cab, down beside the frame on left side and by the starter relay.
  13. have you checked the valve clearence? it doesnt take too much to have a hard start with them being out just a little ... is the spark good too and fresh fuel?
  14. its a stator, located behind the cover (sitting on the bike) at your left foot .... check your battery while its running with a tester, if its not past 14V, you need a new battery. an easy way to test the stator is disconnect the battery and pull start the bike. if your lights and dash lights up, its not the stator. could be the relay/solenoid. check the red cable (+) coming from the battery, there should be another cable running to the starter from that junction. if you can jump the 2 connections and it starts, its your solenoid/relay. what year is your Honda?
