yea i hear ya i get the same thing from my "old dealer" give the uni company a call they can be more help to you than any dealer out there.. for the air fuel mixture no you wont have a problem at all ur atv is equipped with efi Electronic Fuel Injection instead of your traditional carburetor the ones with the choke and all the fun crap.. so with the efi it moderates the fuel and air mixture so that it is the right amount of fuel every time it feeds it to the engine so theirs is no need to mess with anything just put the filter in and go

alright good to here lol... that sucks about the exhaust... yea the paint looks great u did a good job with masking it all off and everything... you got any more plans for it?
-
well i would like to say that they are interchangeable but i am not 100% sure.. u r right that they are the exact everything but the engines are a different size i dont know if the filter needs to be larger for the 700 because of it being a bigger engine in all and needing more air but i really dont know... ur best bet would be talking to ur dealer or calling yamaha... is the filter flat or is it a circle?

i have never heard that about k&n filters and i doubt that will ever happen just clean it wen it needs to be clean and oil it and you will not get any water or condensation on or around the filter or the housing.. i have however heard the way the filter is designed allows for dust to go through. that is true but if u buy a pre-filter which i have done it stops that issue from ever happening... personally i think k&n is a great filter and it did give me some noticeable power, if u r iffy about k&n still try looking into uni-filters they are great air filters and i heard all positive things from them to

wow it looks really good with the fenders painted like that.. is that really how its gunna stay dropped that low? make sure u dont take that offroad anymore and thats one way not to worry about breaking ur axles
-
did u check fuses? is it an electrical engage or u have to manually do it? make sure ur drive shaft is hooked up correctly make sure the gears are aligned and the clips are put in..is there any funny noises wen trying to engage the 4x4.. wen u took off the transmission wat did u do to it?
-
is it just the lights that arent working or is it the actual reverse neutral and 4x4 that dont work with the lights

New 2 the board...EXPERIENCED RIDERS...I need your help
outlander560 replied to yessir812's topic in Yamaha ATV Forum
1.)The eps is something i would recommend that option does make the atv a bit more expensive but for long rides its very comfortable and a lot less effort is needed to control ur atv. it also makes turning with the 4x4 locked a lot easier, if u dont drive long distances or dont plan on driving it a lot having no eps is not bad either.. 2.)i dont see u not being able to keep up with the other riders if u get a smaller engine size if u dont feel comfortable with the 700 they offer the 550 that is exactly the same size and comes with all the same options it is just a smaller engine, but it also depends on wat u mean by keeping up if by obstacles like mud and trails u will be fine but if u mean racing wise they will have a little advantage with the top end the 700 has a faster acceleration than the 550.. 3.)u could probably reach mid 50's at full throttle but im not to sure about that it could be higher. 4.) i cant help u with the classes in atlanta cause i dont live their lol sorry bout that.. 5.)an extended warranty is a good thing to have because most warranties last only 6 months and usually once that is up things start to break.it is also good that u check wat the yamaha warranty covers 6.) Safty gear is important a good dot approved helmet and goggles is always great.. gloves boots are great to if u want a chest protector is another safe route but again thats the riders choice.. to the atv itself u could add bumpers a recovery kit is a good thing to have in case u get stuck and a winch -

welcome to quadcrazy Dave... at first it sounded like ur jets were clogged but since u changed the carb it kinda sounds like ur carb is putting in to much gas.. could possibly be that ur jets r to big.. wen at an idle does it sound like it is idleing very fast? idk it sounds like wen ur driving it it is burning off the gas that it needs to keep at the speed but wen ur stopped the carb is still forcing the same amount of gas into the engine kinda drowning the engine causing it to stall.. now im not to good with carbs but if im not mistaken ur float might have something to do with this also
