    very easy fix, if you choose an aftermarket part, you will have to switch up the white and red wire at the connector. making it come out of the stator red to white and white to red ,,,

    i think the stator ... had a 91 big bear and did the same thing, replaced it and was ok ...

    how is the spark when you pull the plug and ground it out to the cylinder head? does it fire rapid at the plug and brilliant blue?

    regulator? bad kill switch? bad neutral safety switch? a break in one of those feeds? bad ground?

    i think the easiest way to do this is, get an online seller (bikebandit.com, rockymountainatv.com) that lists the parts you need and has the blow outs showing everything, and go to each item and see if its the same part number, i havent seen a book or listing that lists interchanges, but they might be out there ... i usually do this with two IE pages and go back and forth to see if items match ...

    had the same bike, it is a diamond ... yellow/red wire is a hot wire, is there power to it ? the brown is probably the neutral/safety switch located on the backside of motor/transmission. if your lights dont come on (neutral), somehow someone may have tried to bypass the switch. you probably have no spark when you turn it over ?
