    do a lookup of the vin # and should tell you exact model ,,, ( http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/yamaha.asp] ) check/change oil and filter with yamalube or good brand atv oil, front and rear diff for fluids ... drain and fill (best to do), grease wherever you see a nipple ... manual should tell you what needs to be checked. good machine you have ...

    starter motor may be weak or battery not up to snuff, should be ok though ... check the reed valves in the carb for cracks and warpage too for hard starts ...

    check the kill switch for crud build-up ...

    the vin is really hard to see as oil and dirt are on it ... take a flashlight and basically, on your back, rub with a rag on the lower rail of the frame in front of the toe shifter and you should see it ... as far as no spark, i would say stator or the pick-up coil ... if the bike is 10 yrs old, i (myself) would replace the stator which comes with the pick up coil ...
