  9. I hear ya. On very loose coal trails i was able to slide turns. Wheelies were a no go with a cvt transmission. Did some small jumps. I was being conservative since it wasnt mine... We went through two tunnels bout 1-2 ft deep water. Couldnt do that on my ex with the open airbox. Like you said when i get old ill get a 4x4 Sent from my SGH-T959V using Xparent Blue Tapatalk
  10. As you guys know my ATV is apart waiting for its motor. Mark asked if we were still on for riding on saturday. I said sure!! He loaded up his Kawasaki 850 and his wifes 550 Grizzly. He topped em off both with gas and trailered them out to Hazelton Pennsylvania with me riding shotgun. We met up with Marks friend Danny who also has a 550. I rode the Grizzly and now I understand why you 4x4 guys have so much energy after a long ride. I felt hardly any bumps, was surrounded by 4x4 comfort the whole ride. Narry an arm pump or sore muscle afterwards. I did miss the rush of shifting gears though. Mark and Danny had a few chuckles as as Im slowing down I pull in what I think is the clutch (really the rear brake) and keep hitting the handlebars. We got lost a few times but I didnt care one bit. Mark kept apologizing for making wrong turns. I could care less, I was riding an atv in 50 degree weather. What a blast! Thanks Mark and his wife for letting me ride.

  19. Not speaking of atvs but cars. Todays efi blows away any carb. From easy starts to self calibration of a/f through all throttle positions. Turn the key and go is the norm. Do fuel pumps and modules go bad? yes but not often. There is hardly any maintenance on cars now. I am constantly fussing with my atv carb. Maybe i am not a carb expert but i wish atv efi was on par with automobiles. Sent from my SGH-T959V using Xparent Blue Tapatalk

  22. Im sending out my rear axle to a driveshaft shop to be straightened and balanced. Upon removing all the axle parts like many others, I too damaged the sprocket hub while pressing it out. My question is ... is the aftermarket aluminum sprocket hub as durable as the factory steel hub? I dont care about its strength as far as its shear rate but i dont want to rebuild the rear constantly if the aluminum splines wear out against the steel axle splines. I do know as far as wear, steel would last longer than aluminum. Question is how much sooner will it wear out? Sent from my SGH-T959V using Xparent Blue Tapatalk
  23. So always the bottom line is power Sent from my SGH-T959V using Xparent Blue Tapatalk
  24. Since the introduction of the 450s, i noticed that 400ex parts are getting harder to come by is it true for the Kiwi and Puki also? also what about resale value. Just because a quad is faster in a straight line doesnt mean its a better quad. Anyone compare trail worthiness? comfort? also why is liquid cooled better Rappy?
