  1. A little rocky but always fun to open it up.
  2. There was one where he got stuck and flew over the handle bars. That was a laugh.
  3. Believe it or not I almost got stuck between the two trees because I was too wide.
  4. Thanks it looks a little different now but always a work in progress.
  5. Off the top of my head you are looking for a 10 or 15 amp blocking diode with axial leads. Check Online or Radio Shack.
  6. Here is a clip of the wiring found in the pinned section.
  7. I believe it is located in the wiring harness right after the fan connector. It would be integrated into the wiring harness. I will see if I can post the wiring diagram.
  8. I feel sorry for the victims and their families. But you have to ignore the press and the spin they are putting on it and take it for what it is. For all those who say this is a reason to ban guns you are flat out wrong. I agree 100% with being a man of honor and fighting fist to fist if need be. The problem is people like this guy who do not follow honorable rules. He accessed the bombs and guns illegally, who would think he would follow a gun law. In this case one person who legally possessed a concealed carry permit who was carrying that night may have saved someone's life. Until the criminals and insane start following the rules we need the right to protect ourselves.
  9. Yep that is it! Both the Carb and EFI models act funny when the battery is low or there is a bad ground connection. My guess is that from all the winching the battery was drained and you just have to give it some time on the battery tender.
  10. If you can go new and plan on keeping the ATV for a while then that would be the way to do it. You know the background behind the ATV and it should last you a long time. If you are going to go used you mind as well get a project ATV, plan on replacing all the wear parts and make an offer that will account for the extra work you have to put into it. Check the frame and airbox to see if there is anything off. With the economy the way that it is the buyer has the advantage.
  11. I want to test ride one. I wonder what ATV they are based off of.
  12. I bet that the plow would work. I was guessing you were talking about cycle country and looked up the models on their website. Here is an application chart: http://www.cyclecountry.com/images/stories/pdf/11-9-11%20Cycle%20Country%20Application%20Chart%20(15-0070).pdf
  13. Welcome to the forums, feel free to message me anytime I am online.
  14. First I have to say you have done an awesome job documenting everything and I want you on my side if I ever need to put in a claim. I have delt with all the major brands and their reaction is about the same. The difference is the dealer. At my dealer they would have replaced the parts and not charged me labor because they know I will be back to buy my next ATV there. As bot said above with the ATV purchased used, not even through that dealer, and you being the second owner I think you are making out well. Also I know there are Polaris specific fixes but blow by is mostly caused by overfilling the oil. It would happen on my teryx and arctic cat 1000s. There was a fix on the cats to alleviate the pressure by enlarging the breather.
  15. How is the fuel pump project going? Did you get it running yet?
  16. The slide on the needle might be sticking. I know on my quad I enlarge the slide hole slightly and clip a few coils off the spring. If you had it working well before I would skip this step and just make sure that the needle and spring is seated correctly.
  17. My friend has a brute and they make an intake for it. that replaces/modifys the airbox lid. EHS Racing Intake Mud Cover It sounded awsome but I am not sure how it worked.
  18. I would first take the serial number and check with the state police to see if it is listed as stolen. Do you have a bill of sale? If you purchase your ATV privately you will need to supply DCNR with: Completed application for registration and titling Proof of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Fees PA sales tax or proof that tax has been paid Applications for registration and titling of ATVs and snowmobiles are available from the Snowmobile/ATV Registration Section, ATV and snowmobile dealers, forest district offices, and State Park offices. Applications also are available at www.dcnr.state.pa.us/snowmobile/index.htm Here is the website below that the information came from: PA DCNR - ATV Registration
  19. Even if the carb was new if the gas was not drained out when it was put away there may be varnish in there. Also check the bike for mice, nests, and other critters in the airbox and wiring.
  20. Welcome Robren Ohio has some cool events. Enjoy the forums.
  21. You may have got water in the 4X4 actuator or the plug from the harness. This is a common problem. It happened to me once and then never again. Let it dry out and take apart the plug located right next to the front diff on the actuator and make sure you apply dielectric grease to the connectors. See if it stops engaging and disengaging. If that does not work the next thing others would try is taking the actuator off and opening the cover to dry it out and silicone the case back together. There are so tricky springs in there so make sure to be careful when taking apart and do not loose any of the parts when they fly out. I would only take it apart as a last resort before replacement, I really think the first idea would work.
  22. Good Mornoing everyone, headed off to do a trail cleanup with the ATV Club.
  23. Good Morning Everyone, What a crazy week at work. I can't wait till my long weekend starts tomorrow!
